  4. Speechless...................................
  5. I think you are spot on there and the LC500 will inflict even more damage to the residuals I would imagine, I am watching the prices closely.
  6. Yes it was the fastest thing around for quite a while 177mph, the engine was Vauxhall however all the modifications to engine, gearbox suspension etc were Lotus, it was the 3.0 litre lump taken out to 3.6 with 2 turbos added, strengthened block, uprated crank and pistons, this was mated to a gearbox from the Corvette, very capable car in its time.
  7. I have offered them the use of my car, Bauer media are a large organisation, I don't think there is a hidden agenda here, I have bought the magazine fairly regularly since issue 1and find most of the articles to be very good, and as others have said it cant do the image or the residuals of the F any harm.
  8. Loads of American stuff I love but the 427 Cobra, its just THE Daddy.................................
  9. You learn something every day my friend.................
  10. This is what worries me about you, mixing up a Jazz with an NSX, one is an understated high performance sports car, chassis development by one certain Brazilian F1 legend and the other one is a Honda....................come on, get with the programme
  11. I have been looking for a while, cant make up my mind though ,Corgi, Dinky or Matchbox..................................what do you think.......................

  15. Official complaint.................I don't want to see this photo again........................ever.........................
  16. No no, you have got it wrong again, this is when Bell bumps into Mcqueen at Le Grande Plage in France and tells him he was offered £50k to advertise the 1967 Raleigh Barbie-Ken Hybrid and turned it down, McQueen was understandably gutted and turned to sports cars, Bell went off and worked for some outfit called Porsche.............................
  17. I will be very interested on your opinion of the LC500 in comparison to your car Chris, I have read some conflicting comparisons.
  18. No No, that is a scene from Le Mans, this is the scene where McQueen comes into the pits to speak to his chief mechanic, Mr Ed, about more horsepower..............................
  19. Yep, working on a lightweight E-Type during a break in filming The Magnificent Seven, it must have been a break, I don't remember an E-Type in the film
  20. Really interesting stuff, it seems what @Peter P18 is saying backs me up, you cant achieve decent gains on a N/A engine without spending a few quid, look forward to see what the dyno runs look like Peter.
  21. Love this especially the sound, oh and its Blue...................................
  22. Russell I would speak to Lexus about the overall stud length, diameter and the spline size, once you have this then all you need to find is someone that can supply studs that are longer but every other dimension stays the same, you could roughly work out the extra length needed by measuring from the face of a standard wheel to the end of the stud, without the wheel nut on of course and then from the face of your wheel to the end of the stud, whatever the difference is will be how much longer your new studs will need to be, if you get what I mean...........................
