  1. Another vote for service plans. You should get a decent discount for buying a 3 year plan and you can spread the cost by paying monthly. The plan is non transferable as I found out recently. Still waiting for a refund for £138 from the third party that deal with the payments.
  2. My shortlist had the ISF, M3 saloon and the C63. Didn't like the interior on the M3 and the image of C63 owners was off putting but if the ISF didn't exist it would have been the C63.
  3. Congrats. I'm fairly sure this was previously owned by a chap on Pistonheads. Can't be that many ISFs around with BC coilovers.
  4. A high turnover of owners is to be expected on performance cars as some people don't do their research and then get annoyed at running costs and fuel economy. I bought my ISF based on condition and service history rather than mileage but I just happened to end up buying one that was on low miles for its age. Now that I'm selling after having owned it for only 11 months it will probably but some prospective buyers off but the service history and condition back the car up. The replacement, a Mitsubishi Evo X, has a fair few previous owners in comparison especially given the age and mileage but the condition and the service history prove it's a kosher car. The receipts for nearly £20k in mods also help!
  5. Service history is the main thing. Make sure it's been serviced regularly. The only real weak point is the water pump so try to find one where it's been done. There is a black one with 41k on Autotrader where the pump has been done ;)
  6. Voted 20% earlier but after seeing 35% in the pics above I would go with that instead.
  7. Makes more sense to buy the low mileage black ISF on for 20k.
  8. I'd go for the black one with 41k miles for a little bit more
  9. The downshifts on an ips equipped Evora 400 sound divine! Heard one at Silverstone recently, didn't get flagged on a 102db limit.
  10. A few post detail shots taken today after collecting the car. A couple of snaps showing just how subtle the ISF in comparison with it's replacement. One was taken on my phone and the other with the dslr
  11. Great. More competition for me when my ad finally goes up!
  12. Get the discs from Eurocarparts and uprated Hawk pads from Cambridge Motorsports. Perfect combo for me, less dust than stock. Discs were £185 before discount. Pads were £150. Hour to fit them by my local trusted mechanic.
  13. Whilst I don't know him personally I have spoken to him about my ISF after he expressed an interest in buying one.
  14. A tweaked Evo X, left a deposit on one yesterday. At 476bhp it's more potent than the ISF but understandably not as refined. Felt the need for something more focused.
  15. It will be, might offer first refusal to whoever buys my car. Going back to stock before I advertise the car as I think some buyers may be put off by mods.
  16. Sounds good! My stock exhaust is going back on soon, will miss the noise from the aftermarket one.
  17. The Guila Quadrifoglio (Quattroformagi is what I keep calling it) looks lovely. Like you say, it's not a V8 but it's still a potent power plant. Reviews for it look good so far. I'm hoping to own one in a few years time so hopefully the depreciation will be steep in the first couple of years of release. I never seem to keep a car for long as I always want to try something different and tick off boxes. Going to go view a fettled Evo X today which is likely to replace the ISF. After that it'll hopefully be a late E60 M5 to replace that in a year or so and then who knows maybe a GTR depending on circumstances. I'm glad I bought the ISF over a C63 or an M3. Much more discreet and suitably left field.
  18. Nice review. I've sat in the GSF at the dealers but I doubt I can convince them to let me test drive one.
  19. Out of those I would go for either the E63 or the XFR. As for me I still want to tick the modded Evo X box so that will be the next car for me. An E60 M5 is also on the list but that will be later on.
  20. Have you enquired about a service pack from your local dealer?
  21. It all depends on where you live and what the weather is like. I'm a Northern Monkey (Leeds) and live at the top of a hill (on a sloped driveway) so winter tyres are a necessity for me.
