Then that person is likely to regret it as these can be repaired at a fraction of those costs nowadays. See a video i posted in the clublounge.

I have been hesitating in replying to this one as it is close to me and i have seen and heared these arguments before. Toffie my friend, one sighting is not evidence as we all know and according to my experience your wife could be very lucky she had three jabs as without them it could well ended way different. Covid is not thesame for everyone and bites different at different people. My wife was infected in the first wave and like you was not jabbed as these were not available then. She just made it. It took her a year and a half to get back on her feet and she still suffers from brain fog and exhaustion. You seem open to all sorts of conspiracy theories which is fine by me. hoewever It might strengthen your case if you could back your arguments up with some sort of proof. Until then i just cant take them serious. BTW Elvis is alive and lives on a remote island.

Look at Brussels and you see the future of politics. Civil servants technocrats and bureaucrats. People that never had a real job in life, never had to work with their hands never had to struggle. Reading reports and going from meeting to meeting creating a system that when in place cannot be changed again as the rules of the system will not allow. A system that crushes normal people without hesitation. Farmers, factoryworkers, truckdrivers and also carowners. It has been decided that new ice cars are not allowed to be sold after 2035 so that is going to happen. A change is not possible computer says no

Hmmm, in 1917 there were almost 3 million and now 700,000. Back then most were working horses that literally moved in trafficjams through cities. Horsemeat by the way was normal food nice juicy steaks! These have disappeared from the menu and i only dare to buy one when my children are not around…( like rabbit..)

Not so sure Malc. The vast amount of these animals caused accidents, polution, smell they were basically suffocating the cities. Sound familiar? Nothing seems to have changed in 100 years.

Don't agree. I think he did the right thing. that crash looked life threatening so he did deserve my respect for what he did. He is in good company as well as i can remember Senna doing the same mid race in Belgium to switch off the engine in Eric Comas car after a 150mph shunt. I feel the general public does not realize yet how good Russel really is in my idea he is up there with Leclerc/Max/Alonso.

I hope Merc will be truly competitive for the rest of the season. 3 teams going for the win would be fantastic ( and a loong time ago)

Wow, what a race and its not even finished!

just read below thought id share it with you guys. a cyclist is a disaster for the countrys economy. he doesnt buy cars and doesnt borrow money to buy. he dont pay insurance, fuel repairs ,service, and no repairs needed. he doesnt use paid parking. doesnt cause any major accidents. no need for multi lane highways. he is not getting obese. healthy people are not neccesary or useful to the economy. they are not buying medicine. they dont go to hospitals or doctors. they add nothing to the countrys GDP. on the contrary, each new mcdonalds creates 30 new jobs - actually 10 cardiologists, 10 dietitians and nutritionists - obviously as well as the people that work in the store itself. Choose wisely: a bike or a Mcdonalds? its something to think about.

I guess most people sell because why not. You have a car for some time and move on. I had my 250 for 4 years then went to BMW for 2 and back to Lexus for an IS300h for 4. and so on. Having said that these are company cars if it would be private i would propably still have my 250. Best car i ever had by miles.

I dont like wraps as they tend to make a car look cheap with matt black as absolute pinnacle of bad taste. I would never pay 2/3000 euro for that. I tried to find prices for a total respray and its not far off. In my idea paint is always better than vynil. By the way carwrapping started in Germany in the taxi world many years ago. Taxis have to be ivory ( elfenbein) in color so cabdrivers had no other choice than to order a taxi special from mercedes ( stronger seats, springs, taximeter and radio installed ivory painted etc). selling the car was always complicated because of the color. I think it was 3M that came with an ivory wrap for the taximarket and the rest is history.

Anyone here know who Wayne Rainey is?
dutchie01 replied to Mr Vlad's topic in Lexus Owners Club Lounge
Saw it seems straight out of a Batman movie -
What is the price of a good quality wrap from a reputable company compared to a total respray of the car?

dutchie01 replied to Mr Vlad's topic in Lexus Owners Club Lounge
I sure know who he is Vlad, the Americans were all concurring in those days. Kevin Schwanz was my favorite but Mick Doohan and later John Kocinsky were also part of the US club. Sweet memories. Btw the 1990 twinstrokes delivered some 150 hp and were incredibly spectacular with an insane sound. The current fourstrokes are developing close to 280 hp! -
Could be me but i really like the new Emira. Seems to tick all the boxes looks great, toyota 6 pot manual good interior and price is correct as well. Harry had the sport and touring models for a run so check his vid out. Lotus is back

Food for thought. Main reason petrol is so expensive is the increased price of crude oil, or so we are told. One barrel now goes for 120 USD. in the middle of 2008 a barrel did 140 USD so 20 USD higher than now. And petrol? at 140/barrel 1 litre went for Euro 1.50 against 2.50/ltr now at 120/barrel. WHO can explain that??
-
Hah! thats nothing. We win todays Petrol lottery. Euro 2.63/ltr for 98 octane. And rising. Out of curiosity i looked up used carprices of the Tesla model S. The first generation went with free supercharging for life. Bizarre prices for 8 year old cars with 500k km.....

Better range for 300e?
dutchie01 replied to SleepyTiger's topic in Lexus UX250h / UX300h / UX300e Club
And that is exactly what scares me regarding electric vehicles. It reminds me of the computers in the nineties, 28mb/64/128 etc. Development is rapid at the moment and the range in 3 years time could well exceed the current miles by far. Toyota/Lexus securing 30% degradation max after 10 years sounds good but who just who would be interested in an EV in 10 years time with the current range?? Will they all be disposable like the good old desktops?? -
When is my NX 350 being delivered?
dutchie01 replied to Keith Truman's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
Its spread throughout the motor industry. I ordered a new Volvo XC60 back in November promised for January - March - May - June just got the message that production has totally stopped for 10 weeks due to shortages. Really dont know if i will see it this side of Christmas. -
Yes, very interesting. Nio has been doing that fo some time in China and has launched the system in Norway recently. Apparently they will roll it out in other countries when they launch their models. For those that dont know NIO just go to www.nio.com Also Mercedes is starting a battery recycling factory where the recycled parts will be used for new batteries. Its going fast now

Well, i saw an alfa giulia stranded some weeks ago and thought how surprising, with so few about i finally see one! to be honest i almost never see cars broken down these days think its called progress. Used to be quite different in the old days. People working on their cars with the hood open was also common practice. As were flat tyres. When was the last time you had one? I cannot even remember
-
My guesstimate is the current situation will continue for at least a year and a half. I just got a call from my volvo dealer telling me the car i ordered in november and was supposed to deliver in 3 weeks is now bumped into next year with a 10 k higher price. Like Linas sais 2nd hand prices are surreal but it could take years before they land again if ever as there are simply no 2nd hand cars left and before this market is filled with new cars yoo could easily look at 3 to 4 years after new car production is back to normal. And then there is the transition to electric. If i buy new now get it delivered in 12 months what will it be worth in 4 yrs into ownership when the market has gone EV??
