  1. Hey, don't knock Cleethorpes! I have spent literally forty happy minutes there (well, I was there for work).
  2. Face it Rich, it's yours until the very end...
  3. Ah, fame at last, Rich! There'll be no speaking to you now. Goes without saying, a smashing motor.
  4. Oh yeah, Rover SD1 without a doubt. As a nipper, out walking the dog one evening one flew by my parents house on the A57 at what my dad estimated as "...over the ton...". I had never seen anything going that fast, so close. A lasting impression. [For context, my dad also reckoned that the frequent two-tones we used to hear at five-to-nine of an evening were coppers trying to get to the local chippy before it closed.] That being said, before the SD1 came along, it had to be the 2500Pi Triumph. A straight six with Michelotti styling, what's not to like?
  5. Cynically, I'd say it's because Autocar's paymasters in Wolfsburg and Ingolstadt aren't pursuing it, so time to rubbish it... But yes, may be BP have been listening to JCB about its suitability for heavier vehicles?
  6. Fantastic effort matey, it's been a pleasure watching this come together. Please enjoy responsibly, and all hail the 2JZ!
  7. I'm so happy; after a two wasted tours of 10 miles each in the week, this evening I happened to walk past a local station (closed all day) that suddenly had all the fuels and no queues. I ran home - no mean feat for me! - and grabbed the keys to the wife's Toyota that has been on the flashing light for four days, fuelled it, drove home, got my car (no longer giving a range estimate) and fuelled that. What a ridiculous situation, being happy about that...
  8. Is your fifth photo at names.siesta.redeeming ? Last time I was there in June, they were filming an edition of 'The Motorcycle Show', so had to park at the lay-by a bit further up the road! Fair to say, I think I would I would give all life savings to buy this off you... Sadly, I think my calculation falls short: 1.0 x £ My Savings = 0.25 x £ L666 GAN Jeez, when is your UK tour kicking off? At least let me see it!
  9. I realised a few random alarms in my IS300 was the sluggish inertia reels reeling themselves in a few inches, often hours after I got out. I got into the habit of ensuring they went back all the way and it it didn't happen again. Could have been a convenience, but may be worth a look.
  10. 530whp? I think that is what Rolls Royce (pre-BMW) used to describe as "...adequate..." 😁
  11. Looks stunning in that video. Those wheels, man....
  12. KIA Stinger? V6 variant, of course...
  13. Very well done, matey. What a journey! Looking forward to your rolling road write-ups.
  14. The six month thing may be to help KIA offer the seven year warranty on a powerful and heavy car. The price of an extra service per year is probably cheaper than extending the warranty on a Lexus!
  15. Is it just me who doesn't find the prospect of all this interior tinsel even remotely appealing?* And as for self-driving cars, just no. Driving is one of the few pleasures I have left! *[I have accepted the marketing departments don't very much care what old petrolheads like me want. I think they'd describe me as a 'dinosaur']
