  1. Let us know when u make ur visit to H&S, I'm only 5 miles away, maybe find out if there's a discount in numbers, not been over myself yet
  2. The red has a pearlesant flake in it, very hard to capture in photos, but looks fantastic when the sun catches it, that's about 3 days a year, but those 3 days are worth it.
  3. I'll give u that one, my black one was superb when washed n polished,......normally lasted about half an hour, lol, BUT that half hour was worth it.
  4. There's always a discount, paid less for mine than the px price allowed for it, keep chipping away at the dealer, not many people have 20k to part with, so always be a limited sales market, good luck, Paul
  5. I've got mine in May last year, Lexus Coventry, an expensive weekend away at the "motofest", I always wanted the red, even have a 2008 brochure before the blue was an option
  6. Personally I wouldn't have black, my is250 was,.....never again, even walked away from Woodford when the blue one had sold, they had a black one, I just said never again, I always wanted the red, if u have a preferred colour, wait for it to come along, after all it's what you see more of, I'd also steer clear of light interiors, denim etc stain it, and if u have kids, ur be pulling ur hair out. Good luck with ur choices, after all there ur ones 👍
  7. Congrats, mine was shipped over in 2012, logbook states 2008 car, registered 2012, no emissions on logbook, so hopefully it will be £230 for road tax, as I'm led to believe they can't alter the logbook as its a legal document, so hopefully the tax will be the same as mine, anyway, good luck n enjoy, there great cars, Paul
  8. Yes Terry, used both, both FAR BETTER than Lexus, both half the price too, I for one like to know that what I've paid for has actually been done, Lexus missed my 60k service, I've also had two previous IS's that had "main dealer" history, both NOT carried out as the service schedule, so I'd rather have a VERY GOOD Indy stamp and also know it's been serviced correctly, both indy's advise, they don't create work, unlike my main dealer experience, my IS250 was owned from new and never saw a Lexus dealer Paul
  9. Yes, that's them
  10. The mileage is irrelevant to me, they are great cars, there was, not sure if it's still there, a grey one in Newcastle area, think it's a one owner with 60k ish mileage, has full history, some with an Indy, "westfields " who are Lexus specialist, they are excellent, and that wouldn't worry me at all, they have looked after all my lexus's in the past. Think that was 19k, mine has 3 previous owners, previous to me only a year, think a lot of people have the "always wanted one"......me too, but I don't want to part with mine EVER, good luck with your demons
  11. Hi Ollie, no the car is not classed as an import, it states on the log book "was registered and/or used elsewhere in the uk" there is no CO emissions level on the log book as this is not how CI are taxed, there taxed on their width, therefore the DVLA mainland can only apply a pre 2001 taxation class to them, so £230 a year it is,.....happy days 👍
  12. Personally I'd have the Guernsey one, it'll be £230 a year to tax on the mainland, the £505 was a massive deterant for me, I have a channel island car myself, I hate paying road tax as it is, but the £230 a year was a deal maker for me
  13. As most have said, my 08 is fine, firm but fine, I've not driven or been in a revised set up, but the feed back is good in my opinion and isn't a bad ride, no rattles or squeaks and no issues from this owner, any test drive is not as good as living with the car, good luck with your decision
  14. Was wondering how many others got a Lexus goodie, I got this mug and an ISF hoodie, happy days, merry Christmas all 👍

  15. Yes, not sure if there is such a product, but 95 is quite low, I know the car will run on it, but if u can increase it it may eliminate the issue, u may well find that the advise would be to add every 4 or 6 full up, IF there is a product, it will definitely be the cheapest place to start Paul
  16. From memory I'd say yes, only way I can describe it is, felt like it was farting under load/acceleration, the fuel I use has an octane level of 97-99 depending where I fill up, BP ultimate or shell V power nitro, did a 700 mile round trip into n through the Lake District with no issues, u maybe able to buy an additive to put in the tank, might be worth looking into
  17. This may well be a silly question or statement, have u used any supermarket fuel?......I always run mine on BP ultimate, will NEVER put supermarket fuel in it, my M3 would have flat spots in acceleration if I used anything other than high octane fuels, I've not run my F on anything other than high octane. And I've been told of additives supermarkets add to maximise profit, thus, cheaper prices
  18. With such a small amount of the F's about, does anyone know how many and in what colours there are? Or even if it's possible to find out?
  19. Think that might be a blessing in disguise, think the depreciation on the M would be a massive ball breaker, having seen on FB a series 1 turbo go for £60+k, the only way for an F is up,....in time, good luck with ur search
  20. I'd hazard a guess of 25-28k, knowing the history for me is priceless, u just need to work on the "father-son" one a lot id imagine. Lol Mileage and owners is always a big thing in my eyes,.....good luck 👍
  21. Mr W, JonP, I totally understand u, and totally admire u both too, my BIGGEST concern, is what I'd ever replace the F with, there honestly isn't a car out there for me that I've any love for, I'm not a 2 door person, don't like BIG cars either, like the size of the F and practicality, GS is to big for me, don't like the new Audis, all look the same, BM's have had their day too, and I wasn't over impressed with the new IS either,......😔
  22. My toy has done around 1500 miles since May this year, 690 of those in one weekend, like u Stu, mine has been purchased as a toy, I'm selective as to where I take it, as I really really despise trolley dinks n car door dinks, mainly used for weekends away n family visits.
  23. Just found out it's £70 for 5lts, the car takes 10lts, that's why it was £140, like I say, I don't know, only drive it. Lol
  24. I don't honestly know, only what was purchased from Lexus, had the 60k service done last service n Chris said that it runs on "liquid gold".....he said £140 for oil alone, what I do know is it has genuine Lexus parts and I didn't pay Lexus rates for labour, it's it's first non Lexus service, BUT I intend to keep the car n not sell, so knowing it's all the right parts is sufficient for me and the added bonus of him being a family friend with all the correct equipment is that's it's been done properly, and will exceed any maindealers honesty and work carried out on it
