I personally wouldn’t be to worried about FLSH, mine is an 08-58 with 62k, I’ve had it serviced by an Indy that I know personally and mine has had all genuine Lexus parts at every service, when I purchased it it had FLSH, FLSH doesn’t seem to worry dealers as these are getting older, I had a dealer offer me £16,495 for mine.....I’ve had mine 5yrs this June. He actually reckons I’d get £18-ish for it on a private sale......I’ve also seen some for £13/14k, these have been higher millers but £5k is a fair bit of change in your pocket. good luck with your dilemma 👍🏻

On a plus side, they can’t stiff u without your consent, as for hours worked I think I’d insist on documented time not on say so.......stand your ground with the bill especially if it’s risen from quotation. all the best with it 🤞🏻

Hope u get it sorted, was at Westfield Lexus last week (wife’s car for service) their rate is/was £57 + per hour.....the F is in next month for service. Big service £353 all in......obviously not the plug service 😉......that was £500 when it was done. Good luck with it 🤞🏻

Not sure how far away u are but “Westfield” in Rayleigh are excellent, they are Lexus specialist and are fully equipped, when asked about my services by Lexus Woodford when I quoted “Westfield” they just nodded and said they’d leave me be.......probably about half the price, maybe worth a call and visit🤔

Just pulled into my road and a Caxton grey ISF (59) plate (all I got) was pulling out, (gutted as I was in my BM tourer, dropping 4 kids off at cinema) I’ve now seen a USB in my local BP garage in Wickford last year and now a grey one in my street.......having had mine for 4 yrs......could it be a trend 😂😂..... starting to feel my cars common 😂😂

😳......I got the hump as mine was £350 this year, has slowly gone up year after year despite me stressing “I’ve hit no one, no one has hit me, no person injuries for or against me”.......insurance companies are a complete “zero loss and only profit companies”......if payouts are up so is EVERYONES premium to cover their losses to a tune of a profit!......absolute highway robbery AT ITS BEST 😡

Would this be the Bank Holiday weekend? if so I’d have to try and book it off as it’s a normal working day for me, also about 3-1/2 hours away.....but a possibility 🤔

I personally use the higher octane fuels, normally BP as it’s the closest to me as well as collecting nectar points (the wife)....I’ve found it smoother on acceleration and slightly better on mpg, I use the same in my bike, the wife hybrid gets the standard fuel and the daily gets supermarket (better) fuel as cost is the same as standard big brands 95 cost.....I will look into the millers addative as everything helps......can’t say I know the science behind any of it......just a personal preference 🤷🏼‍♂️

Have had my ISF for nearly 4 years, apart from the years warranty Lexus gave me I didn’t opt for it, 3 years on £0 money spent on any issues, obviously services, tyres etc BUT nothing on anything else as nothing else has failed.....running costs are 23mpg over years, £255 a year road tax (present year).......yes £255......yes it’s probably the only one in the uk at that price too.......typo errors CAN be a good thing from time to time......insurance is £350ish.......and I too run a second car as a daily user, although I passed it off to the wife as the “dogs car” 😂.......still can’t see me parting with mine either. Great cars

I could be totally wrong here.......but.......from my beliefs the big V8 was never an engine that was demanded, more the flagship of the manufacturing world when profits weren’t everything, obviously profits a must but manufacturers profits are being maximised at a loss of the flagship car.......I suppose it all boils down to profit these days, sometimes smoothness and power delivery outweigh whistles, neck braces and high revs n engine noise.........I think of my ISF as my coffin as to date there still isn’t a practical everyday car that I’d even contemplate replacing with.......and as things supposedly move forward I feel myself stepping back further from the thought of changing it 👍🏻👍🏻

Although the world are “supposedly” going green for emissions I’m also a “massive” believer that car manufacturers are using this to produce a cheaper option, the cost in the build of a V8 must massively outweigh the smaller unit, the V8 has a bulletproof history with no money to be made from failures unlike the smaller unit. A thought for all 🤔......has anyone ever done a forecast for factory emissions from the “lesser” car parts that are produced for the lifetime of it? think the long term results would be interesting 🙄

Happy new year to all too,........with the state of the roads and the amount of cameras about these days,........for me it’s about the note rather than speed......the power will be more, the sound will probably be poor AND the reliability will be expensive.......can foresee a few turbo units failing at anything other than cheap......the turbo will never be a solid reliable item unless used in the correct manor and with a world that moves so fast people don’t have the time or better said don’t want to give it the time needed. Time will tell, I always think of the film “demolition man”..........lol........the big V8 being underground. 😂

Don’t think there will ever be another true “F” car, this I think is the end of an era for the true V8 NA power plant........just wiz bang n whistles from now on 😔
