  1. The later ones are also euro V engines as the emissions were tweaked (not enough to change the taxation brackets) the 2008/09 are the faster 0-60 of a huge 0.2 secs 😂.....I’ve always said red Is the fastest colour 😂😂.......on a serious note I can’t compare, I’m led to believe unless u plan to track the car and to a decent standard then the difference is irrelevant as far as LSD goes, the main point I’m led to believe is the suspension revision which was needed due to our poor road conditions 😂.......I’ve a 2008 and the suspension isn’t an issue tbh BUT I’ve also not been in a later one to compare
  2. Sorry Ollie, not a dig or anything BUT I’ve a few friends who have worked in main dealers and get the low mileage cars in year after year, they used to get a new filter and a litre of oil (not saying all dealers are the same).......but the oil doesn’t actually need changing so they don’t, u pay though 🤔......they sit about drinking tea as they get the same wage irrespective of working on a car or not.....rather a car that has actually had a “full service” and full proper service history than a stamp that is just a stamp 😂😂......I’m under no illusion mines worth less in some eyes due to 7k service intervals and not yearly ones, I’m also 100% confident mines serviced beyond that of main dealers.......as they get older £900 for a 60k service or £500 makes a huge difference, is there a point that people don’t expect a main dealer history?.....ie at what age do u save money on an “old car” when it comes to serving? ive a 2005 C70 with full Volvo history up to 2017......now serviced by me (only oil, air filter) I’m no mechanic lol, although I’d never consider doing anything to my ISF, (I’d never let Lexus service it either) 😂 be interested to hear others opinions on the matter.
  3. Mines not FLSH as I don’t trust them AT ALL!.......I’d never dismiss a car that has service history by reputable garage, mine is serviced every other year as I does about 3000/3500 a year, it always has full synthetic 20,000 mile oil in it that actually recommends 20k services or every other year if mileage isn’t met, the yearly service is rubbish unless mileage is met, just a money making spin from manufacturers to generate more income. Every MOT they moan about doing it as it’s like new and a waste of their time 😂......a car with “genuine history” is worth more to me than a main dealer one.......or I’m just extremely unlucky with full dealer history cars I’ve purchased in the past 😉
  4. Had mine 5 yrs now, still love it and will most probably never sell, just always wanted a RR sport, will wait until I can afford one and keep the F, will only be a 3 month romance I’m sure 😂.......probably cost me more than my divorce too 😂😂
  5. Sorry to hear your going David, I was almost certain as time went on you’d keep the RCF longer n longer 🤔.......whatever you choose I’m sure you’ll be happy with for a few weeks/months 😉.......good luck with your selling and purchase. (I was looking at the RR sport 5ltr V8 BUT can’t handle the reviews on problems and cost, even more so the loss) ........ISF it is 😉 All the best, Paul
  6. The system in pre 2011 is rubbish, I always use my phone or my Garmin, mine is only partial postcodes and is a total pain in the @@@@ unless u have the FULL address. There is no software update to remedy the problem 🙄
  7. Not main dealers, “Westfield Motors” near me (rawreth) they are Lexus n Toyota specialists, Lexus wouldn’t entertain fitting GSF manifolds to an ISF 🙄. Will keep you posted on what they say, fitment and any other information 👍🏻
  8. Well Wednesday is manifolds day 😬......car being dropped off tomorrow and GSF manifolds going on, looking forward to hearing the difference with a kinda open mind.......not looking forward to the bill (ball park £900) as never been done before.
  9. We’ll definitely look out for future ones, can’t tomorrow as I’m Christmas deck removal and working in the loft most of the day 🙄
  10. Is there any other colour? 😂......the best there is 😉
  11. I’m sure the car will be nothing short of excellent, I didn’t extend my warranty and 5 years on it’s only been servicing costs, I was more angry that they sold it to me with the cracked manifold BUT have since learnt that they are all independent franchise and no longer “Lexus”......Lexus would have insisted the manifolds replaced prior to sale hence the dealer saying “they all sound like that”.......when they could of said “we think the manifolds are cracked, bring it back in two months for a warranty claim”.........other than that the car has been 100% faultless and is still a pleasure to drive, take it easy until you’ve a clear road and definitely stay out of manual and sport mode together as this will really bite u in the arse 😉.......enjoy it and don’t abuse her and she will give u plenty of thrills in return, you’ve purchased an investment if u look after her. all the best and keep it straight 😉😂😂
  12. Had a wobble recently n was considering a Range Rover sport 5ltr HSE autobiography........have decided to say with the F and buy the RR when they come down and still keep the F as I know the RR is a fad 😬
  13. Insist on 12 month warranty.....age is irrelevant especially considering the car’s history......check for ticking on start up especially from cold, ISF’s (some) had problems with manifolds cracking, bought mine like it and fell for the “they all sound like that on start up”.....they don’t!....mine is having GSF manifolds fitted next Wednesday,.....as for dealer relation......I bought a Subaru Outback for the wife and was dealer principal wife’s car, had to have head gasket replaced at a cost of over £800 and Subaru wanted nearly £2k to do, I’m the worst person where main dealers are concerned, don’t trust them one iota tbh........make sure the 60k service has been done INCLUDING plugs, labour cost is huge on these as back 2 are hard to access......I’m pretty sure Lexus are 12month warranty MINIMUM or they are not permitted to sell off their forecourt. Good luck you will enjoy her immensely
  14. I know of an interior specialist (near me) who will/can panel match the leather, the paint work can be done too, again by someone who can paint stage pearlescent paint, again I know of someone.......engine, gearbox and the drive are the important factors, If the car is cheap enough than anything is possible. 👍🏻.......I don’t understand why they would wait for a sale before carrying out the work, makes no sense to me as most will want to see the work prior to purchase and most wouldn’t entertain repairs of this magnitude as they will always remember the first time they saw it 🤔.......I personally wouldn’t dismiss and would prefer to source the repairs myself obviously subject to purchase price. 👍🏻
  15. Personally I can’t compare having not been to LeManns, the 24hr race has lots of shops, eateries both within and outside, market type stalls n bars n restaurants a plenty, there’s ring taxi to take you to other parts of the ring to spectate from, i was lucky to have a free pass into the pits and behind the scenes which include free ring bus taxis
  16. Hi Ian, not sure if there is, there was but I’m pretty sure that car was purchased from Lexus Belfast and came back this way, 🤞🏻 For you, paul
  17. This is after 300 miles on a motorway in this weather.......but does make u appreciate cleaning it! 😂😂
  18. I would imagine ANY issues will have been dealt with, I’m sure the price will reflect that too.......the fact that the Japanese reckon in the next 5yrs only 50 UK ISF’s will be worthy of a price rise 🤔......mileage and owners will be a factor......if the mileage is right and owners too then this would be worthy of an investment from a dealers prospective. Good luck with the view n keep us informed
  19. This is about as good as it get in photography terms, the sun, the angles have to be just right and even then it’s extremely hard to capture the finish.
  20. The red as the white is pearlescent, it’s a three stage paint process with a silver fleck within the paint, at worst it’ll shed lacquer like other metallic paints but it won’t fade like a solid red paint will......I think the red in the brochure didn’t do the car or finish justice, the colour in the flesh is something else, I know I’m bias BUT despite the colour in the flesh it was and is my favourite colour, not just Lexus but on other car manufacturers too. Lexus Woodford have only seen one red one and that was mine on a recall earlier this year. 👍🏻
  21. I obviously have that unicorn 😂😂......64k and owned it for last 5yrs.......wasn’t actually looking for a car of any kind when I came across mine on a weekend away with the wife. Tbh I’d wait for the car u want (not sure how many red ones had sunroofs) it definitely wasn’t something I was bothered by either, wasn’t a deal maker at all, for me the only colour I was interested in was red, has always been my favourite colour and had it not been red I Probably wouldn’t have even given it a second look. I’m not dissing anyone’s colour in any way just pointing out my views, the colour is the most you see and there are certain colours I wouldn’t give a second thought to BUT those colours are the colours the owner obviously likes........for me if it’s an F u want, put them in colour order and keep looking, buying a colour u don’t like/least favourite won’t make u like the car anymore, probably completely the opposite. good luck looking for your unicorn BUT they do exist (possibly just one) 😉.......then u will be looking for eternity 😉
  22. I’m staying in Kottenheim the ring and surrounding areas where booked solid, it’s about 14 miles away
  23. Mate, after all the effort u put in for Derby weekend I’m entrusted to u 👍🏻
  24. That’s the one, heading down on Friday n returning Monday 👍🏻
  25. Not sure how many of the 17 are still about, I know one red was written off a couple of years ago, pretty sure the rat said he could trace only 7 of them 🤷🏼‍♂️....good luck with your search 👍🏻🤞🏻
