  1. So I've decided to source another set of alloy wheels, oem, to make swapping of the summer/winter tyres and refurbishing sets without having the car out of action, so much easier. Also a good investment for the future. My current wheels were refurbished by the previous owner and after the Kemble meet, we concluded they were lighter than oem. The wheels I've sourced have been refurbished by the seller who is confident they're very close to oem. Took some pics today following delivery. I would be interested to hear opinions and from those still have the oem paint on their wheels, do these look close?
  2. For me it would be would need to be later than March, need some time to organise the time away from home/work. There's also the Midlands Meet on 18th March. I would need to come back on the Sunday (family commitments) but it would be feasible to start heading up on Thursday and arrive in Scotland on Friday. As previously mentioned, l would joint as much as the tour as possible if others are staying out longer.
  3. A serious consideration.........how many 20 litre gerry cans will fit in the back of an ISF? Or do we just draw straws for who tows the bowser.
  4. Does life get much better than this @Big Rat ....................
  5. Excellent idea, would be up for this but without the 'flinging around' as mentioned earlier in this thread 😁
  6. Great, be fantastic to have an GSF in attendance . Will post any additional information about the meet on here.
  7. Hoping to get my test part back this week, then try to and match the lacquer to the oem aluminium weave. If it looks good, I will tackle the plastic trim between the back seats.....
  8. Same tbh, having owned the car for 12 months I rarely use the paddles. Every now and then I try to persevere with them but they're not for me. Maybe on a track it might be a different experience. Use auto normal most of the time and flick into sport for a bit of fun. I don't think you can ever replicate the stick manual for 'feel' but I would never go back because the auto box is excellent and perfect for daily driving 95% of the time.
  9. At least 6/7 ISF owners on LOC in and around London, be good to see some of you guys at the Ace Cafe (if it goes ahead) in March and hopefully other meets.
  10. I plan to give them (Ace Cafe) a buzz nearer the time to find out more about it, if there's limited information that comes through on the website
  11. Yep, just returned from a service at Lexus Twickenham. Local meet sounds good for the Spring.
  12. The TRD kit for this car is beautiful IMO. Shame it wasn't oem or more affordable /available. http://trdparts.jp/english/lexus/isf_ccsp.html
  13. Love the side and rear angles. That's why I added a little front lip to try to help. Part of the charm is that they're not recognised but it also frustrates because the ISF should command at least a little respect. True petrolheads know what they are.
  14. I genuinely feel that most folk think it's some frumpy Lexus/Toyota Aventis thingy. Should've shown off her rear @Flytvr. The boat race is the F's least flattering angle IMO. The quad exhausts might have generated more curiosity....
  15. I'm just jealous @Rusty Crobar. Would love an uprated exhaust to make the most of the V8 soundtrack. Still toying with the idea....
  16. Epic exhaust notes bellowing around mid Wales . They do look familiar....
  17. Those who can find the time to have the week long tour should go for it 👍, there's an awful lot to explore. Others who are more pushed for time (like me) might need to join for parts of the tour where possible.
  18. Brilliant pics @Rusty Crobar looks like a stunning route 👍
  19. Useful information Neil. Maybe head up on a Thursday late afternoon/evening, get to Carlisle, shut eye, then another 4/5 hours in the morning to Inverness. So I guess could be ready to start the NC500 at around midday Friday. Split the NC500 over the Friday and Saturday with a nights stay somewhere mid route. Then Saturday afternoon/evening start the drive home. Obviously not cast in stone but having some idea might help work out time needed off work or away from families etc. Any thoughts?
  20. Could book in advance once a date, meeting point and time has been agreed. Equally I would be happy for a day in the week if others can take time off work etc. Naturally think more people will be free at the weekend. What's the consensus?
  21. I'm totally easy but.... Personally it would be nice to see a Lexus LOC tour.
  22. With dates in mind, would a Saturday be the best option for the tour?
  23. You'll get one for the trip now @Jgtcracer why wait til your birthday 😁
  24. Sorry 🐀 @Big Rat.......... There's no Cadoxton Grey either!! Special order.......
  25. Good choice @Dieselpete I've owned my ISF for 12 months and it does everything very well........motorway cruiser, potters about town at low speed gracefully and...... Then......the power/sound of the V8 . Worth checking that the water pump has been changed as these can leak. Other than that, regular services etc, etc. I must say there is a great choice at the moment, so a good time to buy!
