  1. Yep, went with the new kenwood, which has android auto and also DAB radio too. Liked the new Sony but didn't have DAB
  2. Obviously better with the newer F's but even the GSF with its 6 x DVD player is still in the dark ages. This system in theory should eliminate the need to touch the phone whilst driving, convenient and safe! ☺
  3. On the warranty point 🐀, as this is plug and play (probably a 30 minute switch over), I will keep the oem cd changer and swap back in the event navigation issue.
  4. What this....😉.... "All men with honor are kings. But not all kings have honor... Honor is what no man can give you, and none can take away. Honor is a man's gift to himself." (Liam Neeson, Rob Roy).
  5. Yes very much considered @Toothy as I have the Mk 1 Grom Bluetooth adapter but on the lexus US forums alot of bugs have/are being reported the the V-Line. This double din just replaces the bottom half of the oem unit. Not sure if the V-Line allows for Apple Car Play and Android Auto, which is the way everything is heading, even more so with harsher penalties for using phone whilst driving.
  6. Yep, for Apple Car Play type system. Will obviously give my thoughts on here once I've got it up and running!
  7. No problem @Jgtcracer. £280 for the double din conversation, delivered from Japan. So far Beat-Sonic have been excellent. Then it depends on what features you want from the double din system. The Apple Car Play/Android Auto units are £300+, otherwise systems without this feature are £150+.
  8. Ordered this kit yesterday from Beat-Sonic, Japan. The current navigation/media setup is poor and I often end up using Google maps on my phone for navigation. I'm thinking this change will make the nav and multimedia top notch with... Google maps, Android Auto/Apple Car Play, Voice control, Voice activated text messaging, DAB radio, Spotify/Amazon music, Full Steering wheel controls, youtube etc. The other offerings from Vaistech and Grom seem to have a number of bugs so decided against those. Hoping the kit will arrive and will try to install next week. 👍
  9. Maybe a poll should be carried out, then we put this colour debate to bed 😁 😁, until next week 😉
  10. Luckily this is one if the ISF'S easy fixes@Ray-ISF @Big Rat
  11. I do love a good accessory, I like the top one, the middle one I've seen on ebay, £29.99 and I think might melt above 25 degrees. The last one looks nicely made but not my style. Let horology experts Mark and Dav give their opinions....
  12. Also had the 300h as a courtesy car in Feb, the ISF felt great to get back into. Very impressed with the Continental Sport Contact 6, but I can only compare them to Vredstein and Hankook.
  13. Expensive day but most of the time with these cars they're scheduled/expected costs rather than nasty surprises. What tyres did they fit for you Mark?
  14. Info from Lexus Enthusiast website: The second generation IS can be found in the catalogues of Auto Art (1:18), Bburago (1:24), and was also available as a radio-controlled car from the Japanese Masudaya. At the top of the bill is the IS-F was offered as an affordable J-Collection die-cast version (available in silver or blue metallic) and the more expensive, higher quality model from HPI-racing. There is also a black IS-F available through the Lexus dealers and a racing version (without race numbers and/or decoration) in Japan. Kyosho produced a very limited 1:43 scale edition of the black “Nürburgring Test Car”.
  15. Thanks for this info Dave, good to have a recommendation for when the time comes. 👍
  16. Better be careful @Mark G, will be down to the primer soon, or have you always wanted a white ISF 😁 😁. If you're looking to speed up the process I hear wire wool gives and excellent shine 😉
  17. Good shout and on topic, I must try that sometime 😁
  18. There's one near me, don't like the look of it tbh and would be worried about repair bills.
  19. Could be worse @Big Rat....
  20. Slave labour has it perks but at the age of 3, he can't be trusted not to sponge the driveway, then take the sponge back on the F...😨... I manged to persuade him to clean mummy's car 😁 😁
  21. I wouldn't use these in the heat of the day, I waited until 6.30pm when it was much cooler. Probably wouldn't be the end of the world if you did but might need more buffing afterwards.
  22. 😁 😁, at least you can tuck the tail into your shirt.
  23. Spent some time today machine polishing the car with Chemical Guys V36 Optical Grade Cutting Polish, highly recommended product, did a great job at removing some light swirls and left a very high shine. The machine polisher gives far better results and alot less labour intensive. Finished off with some g-techniq C2 liquid crystal as recommended by @Stuno1
  24. Try this @Rusty Crobar this will prove whether or not yours was the fuzz 😁 😁
  25. Needed alot more Balast on the back....
