  1. Didn't see a Velostar but this lass flagged me down 'on topic'...
  2. Probably was driving a bit slow @Rusty Crobar, some fantastic opportunities on the way home in between my burger/coffee stops, just had to put a few of my boards up....
  3. Fantastic weekend, Big thanks to @Flytvr for the bulk of the organisation 👍 and @Big Rat for arranging the hotel with its eye catching staff . Great group of guys, good times 👍. Looking ahead to the next one already!
  4. All under control! 👍
  5. I probably still have the service records sent to me by the dealer at the time, not sure about those seats. Some newer ISF's in the states were released with red leather but not my cup of tea. Most upholsterers won't touch the seats for insurance reasons, something to do with Manufacturers using special/weakened stitching in areas near an airbag, to make sure they deploy correctly in an accident.
  6. Had to raise plenty of questions with Beat Sonic but they've been very helpful. I've removed the nav unit before and it's pretty straight forward, just hope that all the functionality works on the new head unit.
  7. Wired up the cables last night, hoping to do the physical install today or tomorrow...... Looks more complicated than it is....
  8. I notice a white one has come up for sale on autotrader just above £15k. I remember this car being for sale when I was looking 18 months or so ago. Looks like it has sone Lexus warranty but from memory it might have some missing service history but I could be wrong, worth a phone call?
  9. Used to @Mark G before USB owners got fed up of sea blue and found a better colour 😉
  10. Yep, that's the location I need to get mine to, just hope it's easy to feed through from the back of the nav unit.
  11. There might just be some differences from region to region but I imagine it's the same colour.
  12. I can't see it adds that much of a premium, it's unlikely you'll pass more than a handful of ISF on the road during ownership. If it was a more common car I think having a unique colour would have more value. Outside of the owners club meets, I would've never seen a black, red, grey or silver on the road. I must say, Nebula grey is lovely ☺
  13. That's brilliant, thanks Neil 👍. The DAB aerial can be mounted to the top of the windscreen to no drilling required, just need to find a route to the windscreen and to the glovebox for the USB. Part should be delivered today, will start the wiring tonight!
  14. Ahead of the Beat Sonic install, does anyone have any experience feeding cables from the back of the nav unit to the glovebox, centre concole etc. I will need to feed an external DAB aerial and USB connection. And IS250 owners might know also. Many thanks!
  15. This is very cool, perfect solution in my opinion. Flick of the switch between oem and 'fun time'. Recently on Facebook 'Lexus IS350 and ISF Freaks' page, some guy in the states l did this, or something very similar. Might be worth a look. For us cautious types with warranty, it would invalidate, otherwise I would seriously consider this. 👍
  16. The Jaguar f-pace are low £30's on autotrader. Maybe worth comparing to the NX/RX.
  17. If I had to change would probably look at an RX or NX, 4x4 type thingies. If smaller, maybe the CT with the F Sport kit.
  18. true..... don't want to jinx anyone's car, been on about reliability for a while so should be OK!
  19. Although there are always exceptions. Pretty powerful I would say.... http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/best-cars/driver-power/64280/most-reliable-cars-to-buy-now
  20. I was the same about the IS250 @Jgtcracer, could've been the worst car ever but I wanted the change, lucky it was a great decision and converted me to Lexus. I'm sure you'll find the RCF/GSF have their own charm when the time is right. No rush as the ISF is a fantastic car!
  21. My Lexus journey started back in 2004/5 when my boss at that time (and his wife) were Lexus drivers and big advocates of the brand. At the time I largely took no notice of Lexus and was driving an Audi S3. Fast forward to 2013 after many years of company cars and I decided to come out of the scheme and opt for a car allowance. I wanted something different, went through all the usual suspects, 3 series, c class, A4 etc. Then I thought back to my old boss and Lexus. I liked the look of the IS and soon after IS250 ownership started. After some tinkering (tasteful oem mods of course, mainly F sport), I stumbled accross the ISF. Joined the forum in summer 2015, learning about the car and liked what I was hearing. Eventually purchased from a fellow forum member in February 2016! ☺ So starting off it was word of mouth that took me to Lexus and a good ownership experience with the IS250 that gave me the confidence to step up to an ISF
  22. In my opinion, Lexus ownership and even more so, ISF ownership, isn't the obvious choice (initially) for a car or sports saloon. Growing up, the cars to have were the usual Germans (Merc, Audi, BMW) etc. Just interested to know how everyone arrived at Lexus.
  23. No need to apologise fella, like you, would love to tinker with cars.... They must have been devastated to see all that work smashed to pieces, but if the boss has a fat wallet and says "nevermind let's build another", it softens the blow!
