  1. Referring to the closure of egr instead of running it to the pipe with ait sensor could you use a separate filter on the egr in pipe, then there is no need to relocate anything or need for a catch can. Also means fresh air will be drawn in.
  2. Hi all, I have just purchased my 1st IS220D previous to this I had a 250bhp is200 supercharged but due to my son being born I needEd somthing more practical. Got a few questions about the 220. It's done 133k well looked after cataclean added every 8k and egr removed and cleaned every 8k and is very clean. I have no black smoke at all out the back at all. 1. It seems to be very very slow of the mark with very little power so little it struggles from stand still to mount a curb. Once moving it feels fine and pretty quick for the size and weight. 2. I want to lower it as it's so high I want it to look more car like and less 4 x4 but don't want to lose comfort is there such a option available. 3.I don't have the Dab option is fitting a aftermarket dab device easy to do and is the stereo easy to get out. 4. I'm getting about 27mpg average mostly town driving is this normal?. 5. The speedo needle has to light out on the top and bottom of needle can these be replaced or do I need a whole speedo. 6.I'm about to do an oil change fiuel filter change is there anything I need to look out for or do when doing this. Thanks in advance.
  3. Thaks already a lot of help and I am part that way through my home made cradle and tbh it is difficult I've been on this for hours and doesn't seem I reached much of a goal, but I would much rather just buy a cradle save me a lot more time I will still keep using this forum a document my conversion. And the super unleaded my car seems to do a lot better miles on the super than standard.
  4. Hi my name is Tom I have had my IS200 for a year now with no faults and flew through MOT this year. I am now doing the DIY supercharge conversion. I have a great knowledge of cars and am just finishing my brothers Merc 190E 2.3 supercharged conversion and has inspired me to do my IS200 I have the CLK 230 supercharger and will by all the bits I need from there. I have read a few forums and have different parts lists, on here I heard of a "Black Box" others say just need HKS fcd (but from what i have read these dont work to well with lead foots) I do not want to do this wrong as I love my lexus and want to improve the power. Any help would be much appreciated I will take pictures and document the whole conversion (once me new laptop turns up next week) my 1st job will be to make the cradle I will try and upload pictures today as I'm starting with that as it's not much an option to buy 1. Current Mods Decat manifolds Back box Are filter 35 mm lowering springs Only run car on super unleaded I am looking to buy all the parts as I go along but my next purchase is hopefully the black box.
