I made exactly the same change last year Nick. Original Bridgestones were cracking as they were so old. Much more grip from the PS4s, especially in the wet.
Meh - Mine had chords showing on the inside too when i changed tyres. It's very well cared for car I might add. But the inner scrubbing issue can easily wear down to chords without an owners knowledge, even if still showing half worn everywhere else. I had to check every week or two with wheels on full lock to see how they were getting on and changed as soon as i saw an issue. Bit unfortunate as @Big Rat happened to be looking on as I did!
I've since fitted USRS bushes and this has totally fixed the issue.
How about an off center vinyl one, similar position to an Evo.
I planned to replace the ISF plate with a vinyl one, but found the holes in bumper were too large. US cars look so much cleaner.
Thanks Paul, I stand corrected. Be patient, prices will be sure to drop. I'd love some RCF seats in the IS, but understand it's not a straight swap harness wise. Unless someone makes an adapter now. There must have been loads of spares from this car somewhere. Would have thought just the shell was scrapped.
Highly doubt this will be scrapped. Insurance will write it off and sell it on to recoup some costs, to the original owner if they so choose. It could be repaired, but likely to be a Cat C (or whatever the new classification is). Sounds like it's being broken for spares, which will allow other cars to be kept on the road. Cant imagine demand for spares it too high in the UK though!
I've not known a single second hand system to come up for sale in the past couple of years.
They always seem to sell with the cars.
There are, however, some stock systems around which could be modified prior to fitting. Remote valves, etc.
Done. Marked as hopefully being there.
Doing my driveway at the moment, so there's a slim chance I might need to be in for deliveries or something.
Might bring an RCF with me too.
I buck the trend here and do not have a warranty. 4 years out of manufacturers warranty without issue, saving £3K+ on warranty fees so far.
But I do know the car very well (family owned since new). And it's a 2011, which seems to have a few small niggles fixed compared with older cars.
If you budget well and put money aside, you can run these without warranty and be pretty darn safe. Please bare in mind any prices quoted for warranty work will be Lexus prices.
I hope I've not jinxed myself now!! Welcome to the fourm :)
Can you identify which part of the tip failed to allow it to fall off please.
Seems a common issue, something that we all can prevent if we spot the failure before it happens.
For example if it's a bracket fatiguing, I would take mine off and weld/reinforce before it broke.
Just followed a blue RCF down the A170 to Pickering. Number plate was something like K80 BOO? Also looked to have a trade plate stuck to the bumper. Anyone on here? Silly white freelander dangerously pulled out of junction between us so couldnt get proper look
Seems a good price for that car. Good mileage and condition, with a known and traceable history. Guessing the Honda dealer has offloaded to another independent garage, or they've picked it up via auction.
Pretty certain it was LG58 YHZ I saw coming out of work the other day (near the dealership), he gave it a little blast past and I waved with glee. Almost sounded like it had a non standard exhaust. But I could be mistaken.
Hello, welcome back. Congrats on the purchase. As always, we want photos!!
Screen setup should be same as standard GS. I don't know the answer, but would recommend asking in the normal GS section, rather than GS-F.
Car's been to Lexus Coventry. Turns out both sides are leaking!
Got told that a few RC's have been affected and another model in their range. One only had 2,000 miles on it.
Waiting to hear what happens next.
Quite surprisingly, one of the rear dampers has failed on our RC-F. Noticed a spot of oil on the floor, checked the damper and the whole thing was soaked.
Car is just over a year old with 6,000 miles on it. Not spoke to Lexus yet. Hope they will replace both rears without any hassle...
Anyone experienced anything similar? I expect you'll all be rushing out to check now 😅
H&S will build you an exhaust without the tips if you like, so you keep the OEM collectors instead. That was my preference.
They offered a small discount too, as cost price would have been less for them.
