  1. Over the weekend my dash has flashed up a warning of low oil level 3 times. Only lasting for a few seconds each time, either whilst stopped at lights or parking up. I have checked the level and it's full. Car has never needed topping up in it's entire life. Last service was about 7,000 miles ago. I am thinking the sensor might be on it's way out. Anyone experienced the same issue? Or know how the level is sensed. I plan to call into Lexus later today to see what they say.
  2. I went yesterday, great place. There was a black ISF there but didn't get to speak to the owner. It was mega busy all day. People were getting turned away and being told to come back in an hour or so. Even when I went at 4pm, i got turned away a couple of times before getting in. There was parking all along the verge of the road from 9am. Therefore it might be worth calling ahead to avoid disappointment, or at least have somewhere else to go for a while in case you can't get in!
  3. Which powder coaters did you use? Need to get a set of alloys done in the next week or so.
  4. Oh no! Unfortunately I won't be able to make it. Only day in March I'm busy!
  5. Registered my interest, nice and local for me. Supposed to be very good.
  6. Very local to me and I have yet to go. All my friends and colleagues say its great. Count me in please.
  7. Ultra Sonic Blue
  8. Bit too far for me, but we need more event suggestions like this. Well done for posting about it.
  9. Not the Coventry dealership is it? I work 5 mins from there too, so might see you around!
  10. Very nice. Like how dished they are in the center. Are these your winter wheels? Did you get a good deal by buying from the states?
  11. I have the Brodit mount, sits down beside gear lever. Little pricey for a bit of plastic, but will allow you to mount any phone holder (within reason) to it. Results in the phone being a tad low. But I prefer that to it being on the vents or screen. Can also sometimes get knocked by the passenger if they are, ahem, have large legs. Not a problem for me 99.9% of the time. Easy to run cables here to the center cubby too. https://www.brodit.com/product.html?id=633849&pn=prod&brand=Lexus&model=IS+Series&year=2011 To this mount/platform I have screwed on a universal wireless charging holder from amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01M6XYZFI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Probably better ones available now, as I purchased mine over a year ago.
  12. Well the front indicators are a bumper off job, so might as well do your fogs at the same time. Sounds daunting, but not that bad once you get into it. Had to remove my air box for side lights if i remember correctly.
  13. Photos when you're done please! With and without film if you can. Thanks :)
  14. Had them on this morning on the way to work in the horrid foggy misty weather. Brought a tiny bit of JDM joy to my otherwise mundane commute 😉 You can buy film to place on the lamps that will colour the lens yellow. However, I wasn't sure on how well that would cope with the heat from the halogen bulbs. If you went LED though you could wrap the lenses no problem (no heat). But I couldn't get an equivalent LED that was as powerful as a good old halogen, which kind of defeats the point of fog lights... Unless you have them on all the time for show.
  15. I got H11's. "OSRAM Fog Breaker H11 2600K 64211FBR" Cost me £35.89 from eBay.
  16. That's exactly why a lot of the members on this thread are using faraday pouches...
  17. Key in faraday pouch. Spare in a safe at another property. Front door and porch door always locked, preventing any letter box shenanigans. With alarm always on over night. Crook lock on, and key for lock not kept with car keys. Defeats the point of keyless entry if I have to get it out my pocket for the crook lock! Crook lock key is kept hidden in the car mostly... Saw my crook lock for £50 in Costco last week. Worth getting one.
  18. Unfortunately no UK supplier, that's why some of us on here did a group buy last year. A very kind member had them shipped over with a bunch of other kit they bought. They're not cheap items, but will save your tyres. If you plan to keep it in the long run it will save you. And I think they're a strong selling point, knowing the car's main weakness has been fixed.
  19. Put some RR Racing USRS lower control arm bushes on to fix the inner front tyre wear. Will save you the money spent on new tyres pretty quickly, and make the car handle better!
  20. I don't have my plate correctly spaced. Had it nearly a year, never been pulled for it. It's "A11AA A" instead of "A11 AAA". Be sensible and you will be fine. No silly text, or trying to make digits different with the fixing screws. Lexus did warn me it wasn't correct during the service, but that's to cover themselves. All cameras can read the plates fine with different spacing. Believe me, I've tried and tested it for you all with a speed camera earlier this year!
  21. Buy direct through DVLA site as per previous link. Despite being direct it works out the cheapest on the whole. Unless you get one from eBay or something. I paid £250 for mine, which includes transfer fee to place it on your car.
  22. Hyundai has started producing some of the first accessible Hydrogen vehicles. This is really where we are heading. Converting the current petrol stations over to supply that instead of fossil fuels. Meanwhile battery tech will become ever better and popular. A PHEV vehicle with hydrogen rather than petrol seems the holy grail. BEVs for smaller city cars.
  23. Confident these will wear quicker than all the others though, as they will be a softer compound to get the grip.
  24. Been running PS4S's for a while. Impressed and would buy again for sure. I was a fan of the PSS's too, on my 350Z.
  25. Probably an ideal job for a 3D printer. Hard bit would be modelling it up in CAD.
