    Where is the paint flaking if its wheels just have them powder coated or painted colour of choice.

    On that milage i would expect them to last longer but quality parts fail sometimes, im not on 51000 mls yet and front of car is firm having said that i replaced the front pads and disc as discs had a lip on. Replaced rear pads only as discs were fine but pads very low. How compatant are you at working on cars do you have tools to do the job, dont start things you dont feel completely at ease to do. Worst car i done recently front spring on a ford mondeo mk 2 a knight mare job needed 2 people you would not have managed that one on your own. It required modified strut clamps in the end.

    I quite like him myself the new fred dibnah likes to know how things work, like he says hes a truck mechanic so has a proper job.

    I agree with toffee pie but i dont think shocks are a hard job, you will need spring clamps of some discription if thats all you are changing. Nothing lasts for ever ,have you done the bounce test,is the car rebounding more than once when you push down on the front wing. I think when mine go i will buy an ajustable set up cheaper than original and lower it a bit as well.

    I dont really care just saying when i change mine, at the end of the day as you say its my money im not asking any one to pay for it. I have done on all my cars do it myself and know whats going in,.Fuel filters air filters pollen filters not all at 3000 miles but do them and keep her sweet. Better safe than sorry £100.00 in oil a year is nothing really is it,Vw group cars are drinking a litre every 1000 miles so work that cost out Averaging 10,000 miles a year.

    Wheels came today coated with Gtechniq C5 see how they go, will say one thing bit mean with paint on the back.

    I will be using 5W-30 when i do mine, normally every 3000 miles as most of my driving is short journeys.

    I had a claim in 2013 tree fell on my vehicle insurance offered 2000 but i bought the car back for 500 pounds, what am i legally obliged to put down on the forms. Meaning was the damage 2000 or 1500.

    Thats a real shame mate nothing worse than wrong parts coming.

    No doors open been out to car this morning nothing loose under bonnet, started car no noise what so ever tried all heater settings and seats every thing seem ok. It was nippy when i left do they have a warning when it gets below a certain temperature.

    Always buy mine online mostly from germany, when i see them no vat so cheaper and fresh tyres they are more keener than us. Had brake discs pads alsorts 2 day delivery usually by dpd and tracked great service.

    Well seems expensive untill you get up off the floor from paint quotes, the water bourne paints are rubbish at 650 its a steal if you plan on keeping the vehicle. I cant get over how low and agresive the car looks from the front,especially with wing mirrors folded back.

    Got in car this morning to come home from work,always start car about 5 minutes before when i set off car was making a binging noise for about a minute no warning lights on the dash at all. Similar sound to no seatbelt.

    That was the answer i got when i asked them, the wheels are a third cheaper, do i take the plunge or leave alone. Well bit the bullet ordered 4 today being quoted stupid prices secound hand cheaper brand new.

    Yes just put lots of loose chippings on roads near where i live english roads are rubbish. Cause lots of accidents really dangerous 20 mph signs dont mean a thing.

    Think the clear wrap looks better than those bra things been fitted,as you say mainly bonnet and wings and strangly wing mirror covers.

    Thats a very good quote for sure, to many young kids where i live cars look like been playing doderms. Possibly why so high only guessing.

    Last car was black first and last, red looks bad as does any dark colour once chipped.Back onto silver this car has chips but dosent look to bad to be honest, i was after a pearl white nothing about in my price range looks a beautiful colour and chip hider as well.

    Hello, Thank you for your follow up. These alloys are the supersession of the original alloy fitted. Therefore yes they are from a later date. This is a message i recieved about the wheels i am interested in, are they updated sounds like it dont you think.

    Well its each to there own mate i tried them bedded in for 500 mls couldnt wait to take them off, having said that they were on a octavia vrs with over 245 bhp.

    Have used drilled and grooved discs did not rate them at all to be honest,bloody noisy things and brake judder. Must admit been very impressed with the brakes on the lexus.
