  1. As above states always do all 4 with winters be safe not sorry.
  2. Breakers yards may be your best cost effective way Vlad. Try and get same colour panels and then just change them over. Lexus panels have numbers on in case of accident damage, if they are not their its been in an accident.
  3. Mine is plugged into cig lighter comes on when car is started. Removed stereo and went below stearing wheel, then up the door pilar. And across headlining fitted permantly never take it out. Mines a Dod Ls300W and pictures are brilliant night and day.
  4. Yes i can appreciate that we get colder weather. Upto now its just mild and wet but when it does drop the winters are ready for swopping over. Last year they were already on at this time, kept them on till end of march saves the summers.
  5. I believe in the real world you would not notice a difference. Dont know what the stance is like but best way try a front on the rear.
  6. I have bought winters they are on another set of original wheels, ready to swop when the time comes. I have used winters on front wheel drive cars absolutely brilliant. Hope they are some thing like on the Lexus. Being an auto as well first one i owned. As a rule they are quieter, as the tread pattern dictates. No good over 7 degrees is the downside, good in very wet and minus degree as tread stays soft.
  7. Why did you buy a car you knew nothing of?? There is not many dealers or indies not where i live anyway. I read every thing i could before i bought my vehicle. There isnt a car made that does not have faults. Why dont you part exchange your car, you wont get much joy selling private. I took a massive loss part exchanging my skoda for the lexus, but glad i did it. Keep away from modern diesels vehicles if you dont do big mileage. I work in a bus depot and the amount of diesel cars with dpf issues is unbelievable. Short journeys buy a petrol. Nearly as good a mileage as well.
  8. I would not think 20mm would make much difference. Having said that i have 235 winter rears never used yet as only purchased car around may. I run with falken on my octavia Vrs and put them on the rears of the lexus. The fronts are Dunlop and when they need replacing they will also be Falken. They grip good in wet and dry a tad noisy but also good wear.
  9. Well thats terrible, did you not check the car over. Tyres have a shelf life they dont last for ever. The diesel model of this car has a terrible reputation thats why i bought a petrol. Most of the issues are documented on these forums, about the diesel been a bag of you know what. Even so i agree i would be more than peed off with the gear box and water pump. Having said that its a known fault.
  10. Must of loved the car to do that mileage. Welcolm aboard david.
  11. Looks like the bushes are on bottom of rack, doent seem like a hard job just getting right size bushes. Look on utube shows a before and after.
  12. My Leather is losing the smell , done drivers seat and armrest only. Upto now Must say very impressed and smells really nice. As people say helps if leather is clean. To be honest dont think anyone sat in the rear of mine as its mint.
  13. Just bought the Glipton kit myself, good reviews on detailing world.
  14. I think them setting are in your book. Have you tryed your other key, both mine are set the same. My vehicle doesnt lock itself when i get above 10mph. What a stupid thing to do, its mainly for women who were getting stuff stolen while in traffic. Plenty on utube show exactly how to do all these stupid things. My Octavia was the same so annoying waiting for passengers to get out.
  15. Well car back in normal parking spot at home. All seems fine again, guy at work wandered if some body tryed getting in vehicle as had similar thing on non lexus vehicle.
  16. Yes a strange one fob is on its own. I know nissans nats systems dont like a lot of keys on the fob. My inside light was not flashing inside the car, just lit on. Thought maybe car battery on way out, as these cause all kinds of knightmares nowadays.
  17. Was saying key not detected when held upto start button. Finally started moved car roughly 4 feet and all working fine. I have always parked the car in same place. I park off street away from house as i live off a walkway. Brotherinlaw owns a Avensis, if i have his key i cannot get in my car no matter what. But his car works fine. Maybe the damp weather but a strange one.
