    She looked a stunner thats for sure, you like your rear wheel drives dont you. Only second one iv owned, first car when i passed my test 520 Bmw terrible in snow and a bit tail happy in the wet. I bought winter tyres for the lexus straight away,i bought 4 brand new 10 spoke wheels and put the summers on them. the old wheels i repainted looked crap and scabby did them anthrasite. Yours would be the expensive tax on a manual, Its what put me off so i bought the auto. Hope you stay on the forum your very knowledgeable.. All the best with your new venture.

    Does all makes of cars, you get free updates for 12 or 18 months cant remember which off hand. Its a brilliant bit of kit , they do cheaper models but mine gets a lot of use as well. So thought i buy once and hopefully thats it. It comes pre loaded and also has a 4 gig memory card to down load live data. It will rewind electronic brakes on audi and the likes. Does air bags lights and all the usual stuff as well. Gives the code number and the fault yes nice kit.

    Wow just goes to show amount of time wasters out there. Thought the car was already sold when you bought the merc. Not driven the merc either, bet you can not wait looks a stunner does that eric.

    I have a cheap model for engine light. And a foxwell tool that does all cars, it does air bag light brake rewind and lots more. That looks a good buy at the price. The foxwell is about 430 pounds at the moment, i paid more but its a brilliant tool.

    I cant help you there im afraed. Seen people put screens in but does away with hazard switch? Would not be legal in uk i wouldnt think. Have you had a look on utube.

    No i dont like things obstructing my view. I have nothing on the screen, apart from my dash cam which is behind the mirror. I wish i had held out for an sel model, but its not the end of the world. Think the hifi is better not sure thou. But must say its an awesome stereo anyway.

    Yes i bought a nav for my own car, no wireing for it, so its sat in a box. Shame really i thought the wireing would of been there also.

    It will not work as far as im aware, the wireing is different.

    AS Above looking at some wheels. Front 18 x 8 with a 2.125 lip ................................... Rears 18 x 9 with a 3.25 lip both are F& R et 35. What issues would i have standard suspension, what tyre size to fill the arches properly.

    On Vw group cars when the pcv is on the way out, revs rise upto 2000 rpm when stood still and go down. It does not affect running as such just the looks from passers by. They normally rattle if you take them off, and are made of plastic.

    No i dont have a link but all jobs are easy to do. There is plenty on utube on fitting Hid kits, i removed bumper to do the fogs as easier and not a big job. Brakes are another easy job to do. If i remember there is a how to on the forum. Biggest job with headlight bulbs, is removing enging covers and airbox.

    Yes halogen to hid done it on loads of cars, no trouble with mot. A lot brighter and look better to boot.

    No i fitted Hid ballasts. I fitted super canbus ballasts with an asic chip. { German } really pleased with them no flicker what so ever. The fogs are a really nice yellow, purchased in uk about 15.00 if i can remember for the pair.

    I replaced front Discs and pads ,Rear pads and recently did the handbrake shoes. I did a full service on the brakes due to the problems that they have. Slider pins and rubber seals, my next job will be the spark plugs once i have purchased them. Car has done 53,500 miles so due at 60,000. I fitted 5000k Hid bulb kit in the headlights and 4,300 yellow in the fogs with led side light bulbs. I took bumper off to fit the fog kit easy job. Really loving the car at the moment. Iv had 2 skoda Vrs mazda nissan audi 2 mitsubishi , a couple of fords Bmw biggest money pit iv owned. I tend to keep cars a while.

    It will be a year on 5th of may, it had 2 advisories last year both rear tyres. Ichanged them straight away for Falken 914s A hard wearing tyre.

    Mot today car passed with no advisories, first of many i hope in my ownership.

    Should of read its been stretching all over bloody cats. Yes i would do the complete bonnet. Would it come off like lacquer??

    Yes beads the same its awesome stuff, yes i would do the full panel its been alover stretching.

    If i took the C1 off would the paint stay safe to recoat?
