Main thing no fire, Yes asking dealer about battery is worth a try. Just tell them its failed, most batteries have 3 - 4 -5 year garantee nowadays. Think they are a bit of a pain to fit, looking at videos on utube.

Good on you Dave hope you enjoy it, heated seats are brilliant did warn you about wheels. You can buy brand new ones for about £100.00 each or better still get after market ones. Save the scabbies for winter tyres.

Your right there Normski, he should have a go at the simple things. Just wear gloves so not to mark the bulbs,that will really get you boiling, Offside one is easier if you take air box out, dont suppose he will fancy that one. But dont be afraid assess what you are doing and dont rush. Taking photos with your phone is a good idea, if your not 100% . John is right you have a strange set up if what you are saying is right.

No side light bulb and main beam. The 2 outside lights are low beam,my friend. When you put your lights on 2 side lights and 2 low beams should come on. High beams only come on when you push the stalk in.

Did not notice he was on about main beam. I leave them as is dont use them only to flash drivers out. Low beams are hid and also fogs which are 3000k. And yes should learn to change bulbs,and do them asap when they fail.

When i had my mot they just lowered it on the switch in the car, i have never had a car fail an mot with a conversion kit. I have fitted loads of them and its like night and day, fit 4300k or 5000k kits more natural. 6000k upwards look rubbish in my eyes. Tell him they is nothing to be afraid of.

Yes never thought really, yes is stupid thou big difference 200.00 a year buys a lot of fuel. Looks in good shape what are the wheel condition. Noted for scabbing really bad. Bargaining point or refurbed before you buy.

Dont know if it applys to diesels, but the manuals are in a different tax bracket to the autos. Maybe year dependant as well, diesels seem to have alot of problems as above states with short journeys. Defo got xenons so top model by the looks of it. Also welcome to the forum Dahmich.

As above anybody use one, seem like they are well made german engineering. I think they are made more for mobile valeters. Good or bad reviews are all welcome.

I have used the paddles and the stick. I just leave it in drive and pwr,you can always kickdown if needs be. The gear box is not made for either and are just a gimmick.

Check your fuses then mate some under dash and near battery box. Do you have a hand book? If so look in there mate.

Have you had the stereo unit out at all? It is an easy thing to do check the all the wires are in properly. Loads of how tos on utube. Keep us informed i am on lots of forums so see what i can find out for you.

Well looked on audi forum, all they do is blow air or not when knackered. Obviously 6 as dual air con. 3 per side. Does the car blow cold air? as ice cold. If so i would say temp sensor and or thermastat, you have flushed the system out so rules out a blockage. If it were me personally i would change them both.

Could also be the temp sensor as i stated earlier, is the heater not even warm?

If its not blowing hot i would say its thermastat at a guess. Have you give the car a run, driving warms them up quicker than ticking over.

If there is no drain plug on rad drop bottom hose. Get hose pipe in the top and flush till water comes out clear. Modern cars dont have lots of blockages, and i know its a long shot, but somebody may have put radweld in before. If you can catch the fluid should be pink. Dont let it go down a drain its leathal.

What harm can it do at least you will know, you are starting with fresh anti freeze. Maybe somebody has put a chemicle into the system, before you owned the car. Anti freeze bubbles and should not froth in the expansion bottle. You have no leaks thats what i would do, should be flushed anyway after so many years same as brake fluid.
