  1. Well there is plenty on utube etc easy job to do. Learn the basics and save yourself some money. If i lived near you i would do them for you.
  2. No you will be able to get them a lot cheaper and been the front are easy fix. Try euro parts or ebay loads of good brands out there, should be about £100.00 all in.
  3. A sticking caliper is an easy fix and easy to know if that is the problem. I would call that a screeching sound myself. Go for a small drive and touch the wheels hottest one is faulty one. Failing that jack the car up and turn each wheel in turn. Brakes can go anytime, Have the pads worn to nothing and are discs scored or blue??
  4. Take it back to where you bought it . Never herd of a sound louder when going slower? Can you get a clip of the noise?
  5. If the sound gets louder the faster you go, i would say a wheel bearing. Seems strange going by the mileage thou. Its not exhaust related is it?
  6. I know exactly how you feel, i owned a mk1 Skoda Vrs for 4 years until an unfortunate accident. I loved the car comfy pretty fast reliable all the toys. Needed a car pretty quick so bought a mk 2 even more toys better seats? I hated it owned it 18 months and could not wait to get rid. I part exchanged it for the lexus and i love it, not fast but a very nice place to be. Iv owned it for 18 months and it will be with me for a while yet. I generally keep cars a while anyway, not interested in what years on the plate.
  7. Could also try these. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lexus-LS-400-430-460-Racing-Air-Suspension-Front-Rear-Kit-Ride-Lift-/361463137214?hash=item5428e1c3be:g:RrIAAOSwqrtWoM-h
  8. Think i will invest in some of that, what a horror that was. Thank you for the share.
  9. Had a pen leak in my back pocket all over the seat. Size of a tennis ball been sat all night, i have Gliptons leather and condition so tried that no effect at all. Had a look on Detailing world, and methylated spirits was mentioned. Tried on a cotton bud a little patch, and cleared up so done the rest and re fed the leather and good as new. { My leather is light grey perforated. } So hope this helps on any mishaps.
  10. That is terrible mate, yes white is a pearl so a little harder to blend in. Is the scratch deep? Go to a body shop see what they say it may compound out.
  11. I agree with linas i love my cabin. Not cluttered very nicely put together every thing still works, a few niggles i agree. Try german cars calipers first thing i have replaced on last 2 Skodas. Rattles a plenty full wind noise around rear door quarter window. Saw toothing of tyres is well documented. Talking of the CC biggest problem is exploding dual mass destroying the gearboxes. Mercedes build quality is hit and miss and Bmw are no better. My next car will be another Lexus love mine.
  12. Nissan dealers are terrible, last one i owned i had no satisfaction rectifying a problem. So went to head office in uk who were worse still. May of changed but a leopard never changes its spots where i am concerned.
  13. I quite fancy a Gs300 next love the view of the front, rears another thing thou. Silver with a black interior probably.
  14. Shaun i have herd the door rattle can be stopped, by lubricating the door seal. Do not know the reason behind it, but i have had intermittent thud noise from time to time. So have sprayed them with silicon spray and all seems fine.
  15. Speaker on dash has been well documented on the forum. Rattle and buzzing noise.
  16. Now that is an out rageous price for what it is. I would try a scrap yard myself. This looks similar. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lexus-GS-GS300-GS-430-MK2-Front-Number-Plate-Holder-Surround-/272517357095?hash=item3f734cde27:g:EbAAAOxy4YdTW4rN http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/99-05-Lexus-is200-is300-FRONT-BUMPER-NUMBER-PLATE-HOLDER-PANEL-PLASTIC-/142259840351?hash=item211f58e55f:g:dZ4AAOSwA3dYi7d8
  17. Love my car colour argento ice gets loads of comments. No more dark colours for me matey.
  18. Cars do not fail on lipped discs, but on the performance of the brakes. Certain discs need bedding in to get the best performance. Oe are best to buy as a rule but not always. Pads make a big difference some are harder than others. Normally ones that give little brake dust, are the worst as are normally harder. Also discs make a big difference, every body has there favorite. Driving styles also auto cars are notted for going through pads quicker.Town driving and motorway driving also comes into it. Motor way driving will get miles more miles out of discs and pads than town driving. And that is fact
  19. Yes they really suit the car, first car i looked at had same wheels but was a deep blue colour. Had dark blue and black cars, a right pain to keep clean. Are you keeping the same colour or painting them.
  20. A good garage by the sounds of it. They do not mess around do they, also hats off to you for sorting the jobs out asap. She will be a stunner that is for sure. What suspension have you bought is it coil overs.
  21. You are not wrong that looked hideous. I have also debadged cars, main reason catching the letters when washing.
  22. I paid about a £100.00 for my kit 35w with asaics chip which is german. Instant start up been totally reliable. Cnlight bulbs have same in the fogs but 3000k yellow.
  23. My cars do not fail for the above reason. What i am saying is that before my car goes for mot , it will not fail on any of the above. When my car went for recall lexus bradford were well impressed by the condition of my car . Its immaculate inside outside and under the engine.
