I work in a bus yard bus clipped my car. Car was booked in for repair payed by bus company insurance. I did not tell my insurance why should i ??? That is when my night mare began. My vehicle was booked in for repair on a tuesday for arguments sake, at a certain garage then my car was hit again. My vehicle was then sent to a different garage on a tow truck. I had to cancel the first garage for obvious reasons. That is when i was nearly prosecuted for failing to tell my insurance about the first accident. In my eyes it had nothing to do with them, it was on private land and would of been repaired. My car was insured with Lv and still is to this day, i have protected no claims etc but saving it all was a headache and a half. I know this vehicle has not been hit twice. I am just saying ring your insurance for your own piece of mind. If it later comes out they find out you will become grey haired very very quickly. I am talking from personal experience on this matter.

So you drove the car on there insurance only. Not herd that one, they will assume you have insurance and as i have stated you are only covered third party. I am speaking from previous experience. And believe me i nearly got in to a right mess putting it lightly. I have just found this on google. It shouldnt affect your NCD as I assume the hire car co insured the vehicle hence the CDW?You will need to declare the accident to your insurers and they may load the premium at renewal BUT your NCD will not be affected unless this car was insured under yout own policy as a TAV (temp additional vehicle)

Actually john is right, i have been in this situation and its not nice at all. You have to report all accidents whether your fault or not. If you read your insurance policy which to be fair who does, it will more than likely state this. And also its an offence not to do so, if they dispute it is there fault. You are covered by your own insurance third party only, which you will find is fire and theft.

I would not call that expert workman ship. Also does not mean all the dash has been out either. I can not see why all the dash should be removed. It states near side air bag, trouble with Lexus every thing they do is over a day long. Does not mean it took that long to fix, can not see why one took a couple of hours and another all day. Unless the lass on the service desk is fixing it.

I had a right do with Lv protected no claims and tried putting a no claim against me. My old vehicle was hit on the road. Off street parking 3rd party admitted there fault and my vehicle was not repaired due to none genuine wheels. Remember not my fault Lv sent a claims adjuster to my house. I was not claiming from them but the 3rd partys insurance. I never found who they were but suspect they were insured with them also. That was 2 years ago car was a skoda vrs hit on back pillar by a van door caught by the wind. I live in a dead end road. Name on company van was esh homes from the north east. They would not accept the quotes from painters i gave them. So good look with Lv . -

Abs is normally felt in the peddle when braking hard. A rat tat tat on the peddle as the brakes catch and then release. If you think the pins are loose i would check them. Could be the pads are low and the sound is the play been caused by this. Are the calipers held in place properly. Take front wheels off and check them also see if front discs are loose. Lexus discs are not held in by screws like others.

Witnesses would of been good. If i were you i would not go through insurance. Reason been damage is minimal and you will still have a no blame claim against yourself. Your excess may be more than the damage done. Wheel will be a cheap fix circa £50,00, Wing and bumper does not look to bad. Have you tried thinners or compound on the wing? I would say a body shop could sort it out for around £200.00. Failing that buy a second hand wing in colour you may get a good one.
