I have seen what their work is like , when i purchased mine just had a service at Lexus dealer. Good at ticking boxes and not doing the simplest of jobs.
I do my own work then i know what exactly has been done and used. That is not only Lexus dealers but Vw group are the same as probably most.
Well that is good, but what has brake calipers got to do with airbag. Dealers should not be going over the vehicle without permission. Do your brakes not work?
Are they pulling or binding? When mine goes in i will stipulate no valet. Only one person touches mine and that is me.
Soon got yours booked in, mine goes in 1st november Lexus Bradford. They are picking the car up, bringing it back on the 2nd. Working nights is not good for
recalls. Turned mine off till the work is done, better safe than sorry.
Mothers metal cleaner and 0 grade wire wool. They are not the best chrome to be honest, they have to be banged off i understand so will be a tight fit.
If you have just had mot seems strange no faults found. Not only suspension but bushes also which could be the cause. Lexus prices are ridiculous for which is
basically a toyota. This is why people do not use the dealers after a certain mileage and age. I would look and see what is covered under the warranty terms.
I agree have you tried a different dealer all are not equal. My car needs to go in for airbag i will be using lexus bradford. I could use leeds but was forwarned
about them when i had fuel filter seal replaced. Looking at where you are based may be difficult, Get in touch with lexus Uk .
Its a breather pipe more than a bung, condensation can happen with heat as well. Long time since i took my bumper off but its easy. Side panels are easy to remove
but the front cover has to be moved first. Lexus headlights fail because of sealing issues. Look at Rx video on utube he hits the nail on the head.
It takes no more than half an hour for panel and bumper removal. Videos on tube for this seems daunting but is not.
Are yours Xenons or Halogen lights.
Could be as texas says mine condensate from time to time. I fitted after market hids but clear very quickly. Mainly happens with heavy rain, through the night.
My covers are on, i have had the lights off see if they are any drain bungs blocked.
I did buy one but the wiring is not there for it. I have also seen an alternative one from usa. Which keeps the standard cd changer, a lot dearer unit due to customs.
Seen this unit on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10-4-vertical-screen-Android-car-Navigation-Player-For-Lexus-IS250-IS300-Stereo-/372025876014?epid=1481184486&hash=item569e785e2e:g:kQ4AAOSw2k9Zea7c
This is the fitting guide for none sat nav model .
It advertises on the tv i have used before my mate just done one on car he just acquired. I have asked him for the number, when i get it i will let you know.
You text the req to the number, get all the information on the vehicle its amazing.
I believe some body on here, fitted ls400 calipers which are twin piston and obviously larger. Another thing with this thou would be a larger servo may be needed.
I can only go by my own car. I have 18s with good year 3s all round runs beautiful and quiet got standard 17s on at the moment bridgestone fronts falkens rear no issues
Winters on standard wheels michelin rears and dunlop fronts super quiet.
I will say falkens are a hard tyre that give brilliant wear, used them on a few cars. Good year are a soft tyre, and one of the quietest i have personally used.
Down side hate been pushed hard around roundabouts.
I run Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 in Anthrasite 18 x 8 et 45 super light weight wheel made in the Uk. They do around 10 different colours.
Winter tyres are a softer compound hence why they are quieter. I run standard 17" wheels with 235 rear and 225 front tyres. { winters } and are super quiet.
Have herd to go to the smaller wheel, which would give some thing like a 50 to 55 profile so would soak most road noise.
