Any opinion would be welcome ... For a while now - and I suspect others do too sometimes - my RX makes a rumble sound, from the front? I hear it when driving at slower speeds,straight, e.g., at 20 mph, but the road does not have to be particularly bumpy. I suspect, based on reading and research, that it could be shock/top mount, related? I am wondering... should I take it to my trusted independent garage, or should I take it to my equally trusted, local Lexus dealer. It was bought from Lexus up North, about 9 months ago, and is still in its first year of Lexus warranty. So I'd rather keeps the costs down if possible... Does anyone have a view?

How did you get on? All ok now?

Old tyres? Out of balance?

Maybe take it off 'auto'?

I always thought it was 100,000 miles...

Does it have air suspension - is that the issue?

Did you replace them? Which did you use?

I have a similar sound on my RX. Not all the time, but vaguely noticeable. One garage thought it a possible shock absorber... just as a mention. I had the front disks and pads done recently, ( it was there before ), so I know it's not that...

I get an average of 22.7 mpg ...

I didn't hard wire mine, but i could tuck most of the wire under the trim ... Looks fine.

At that age I would look for a good local Toyota/Lexus independent specialist... They can get to know the car, and you.

Yikes! That's a lot of £.

I decided to get my bulbs upgraded... now it's dark, cold and wintery... Wow! I had replaced, what I would guess were old dipped Xenon bulbs on my Rx300 with 'Osram Night Breaker Unlimited Xenarc'. Not cheap but the difference is notable. White, sharp, longer beam. I had my fog bulbs replaced with Osram's too - just seemed good to do them at the same time. And my sides with, Ring (LED 501 Capless Bulbs 6000K Ice White Bulb CANbus Technology) Wow, those sides are good. I often use them during the Summer months when driving along shaded country roads... :hohoho:

I use my phone and CoPilot now ( includes 'safety' cameras too ).

Is Premium fuel also about keeping engines 'cleaner', not just MPG??? :eerrrmm:

I owned a Soarer. Happy times. Mine was a V8 and I loved it. The 2.5 is fast too, bit possibly thrashed? Search for a loved and un-moded example...
