  3. Try this ... LINK And " If buying privately, it's really a case of 'buyer beware'. It's up to you to ask the right questions and inspect the car thoroughly before buying.' The only legal terms that cover a private sale contract are: • The seller must have the right to sell the car • The vehicle should match the description given by the seller • The car must be roadworthy If all else fails, you can try to take your case to the Small Claims Court. If you do go to the small claims court, you would have to prove beyond reasonable doubt that the vendor knew about a fault, but withheld the information, before selling the car to you. "

  10. Good! It's strange how these things creep up on us. And sounds like you paid a fair price too. Hopefully a little welding will sort it - I can't believe a good independent couldn't sort it? ( We need you and your motor here as well - you're such a guru on the RX front ! )
  11. Sorry to hear, Chris. Were there any advisories at the last MOT? Hopefully it's fixable!
  12. Can I put in a vote for Prestone de-icer? Having tried many, this seems the best for me. I spray it on, wait a few seconds and use the wipers to sweep away the ice. I refuse to the scrape now as I am sure it causes lines on the windscreen...
  13. ... on that note, just stocked up on de-icer and screen wash, and a new battery ...
  14. Sorry to hear... hope your car is 'ok' ...
  15. Understood. I just wipe mine with the rubber sider of a scraper - amazing what a difference it makes in the dark!
  16. Make sure your side vents are pointed up and out...
  17. My dinky cheapo ( but very good ) Nextbase DashCam did need changing manually...
  18. I've just discovered - I'm embarrassed to say - that the rear passengers have a middle AND ADJUSTABLE, head restraint.
  19. Was the same on my Soarer - I recall...
  20. Via Honest John ...
  21. Some say yes, some say no. Follow your gut instinct. For me ... no.
  22. Did my Soarer back in the day. Liquid Leather rings a bell ....?
  23. It's a "PureMate® XJ-600 Ionic Air Purifier & Ioniser for Car & Vehicle". About £14 and great on long journeys or for smokers - NOT that I am one ...
