    I agree. You do want that reversing camera - it makes life MUCH easier. It's a big car to park. ( Check for the usual seized callipers too. )

    I never believe the 'lost the book' story. Trust your instinct, go for an SE and check the MOT history ( and HPI ) online... Take your time. If something doesn't feel right... it probably isn't. Happy hunting.

    "Another thing, my screen has the heater elements for de-icing the wiper blades.....I can't find a switch for this anywhere . Is it likely that my vehicle was fitted with this screen despite not having the heated wiper function ?" I thought that came on at the same time when you defrosted the REAR windscreen...?

    How long ago did you buy it? Could it have been within 6 months?

    I think I had this too... Lasted for a journey or two, then it disappeared. It was a bit disconcerting. There was nothing I did - it just seemed to right itself.

    I'd get a used RX with EVERY extra.

    It's fitted at the front, on the bumper, but under the bonnet lip. You can't see it at all... discreet. Piers.

    Oh dear ( no pun intended ). We have lots of dear where we live. They eat the plants and are a pain on/near the roads. I have one of these on my car. Does it work? Who knows. Does no harm though ... Best wishes for a speedy fix.

    I reckon on my car re-greasing every 6 months is needed - even with new callipers...
