  1. Thank you. I have successfully claimed in the past on it for the same car... I'll keep pursuing it. MY Lexus Dealer are being VERY supportive.
  2. Just after some words of wisdom. I have a Lexus warranty. Long story short, Lexus Warranty agreed to some work on my car this week. It was then found that extra work was needed. No work yet done. They sent an independent engineer. Having agreed to pay the first claim - for work yet to be done - they have now changed their mind, saying my car is too old, and won't pay anything. Any thoughts much appreciated!
  3. I had to have air struts replaced ... I guess they just get old.
  4. I have air suspension on a much older car. I have had issues BUT, I do have the Lexus Warranty, which has covered all costs.
  5. MER is great on my car ...
  6. Ian, I miss the steering wheel moving away when I exit too! ( It's a loan car ). If I bought one, and I had the money, I'd go for the luxury spec., with perforated/ventilated seats. The controls I'd get used to. I think as an RX300 ( old car ) owner, I've been spoilt. Driving a big tank, with big controls...feeling safe, with poor MPG. The NX IS a nice car - just needs some tweaking maybe? ( Well, the shopping channels already think it's Christmas )
  7. Mostly in Normal. For me I think it was the unperforated seats. They became sticky very quickly. ( It's a loan car ). If I bought one, I'd go for the perforated seats ( with electric adjustment ).
  8. I drove one yesterday - minor roads, M3, M25 etc... It was the 2.5 Sport. It was in black and looks great. Inside, there is lots of quality, comfy seats, good technology, but... things I didn't like... Seats get sticky in hot weather - no perforations? A/C ok, but just ok. 'Silver trim, reflects onto the windscreen. Controls, fiddly to locate/use, when driving. Centre arm rest too low for me. MPG 'ok' but just 'ok'. Ride a bit jittery on a town road. Wing mirrors can obscure some side views. Nice car, but prefer my RX (300).
  9. I drove one yesterday - 200 miles. Yes, I agree, constant changing to get things right.
  10. Was the 'mechanic' part of a garage, independent ...? You have an address? Sounds like you need to get serious with the person.
  11. I also has a Toyota Supra. SO easy to loose the back end, but a lovely looking car.
  12. An old thread, but I think this (6200) is excellent stuff. Sorted out my RX - and my lawn mower.
  13. What a great thread. So many memories. It reminds me ... one of my best cars was a Vauxhall Cavalier SRi. Great fun. And a Fiesta XR2. But no a/c back in the day. I couldn't survive without it now. One of my first jobs... I had a Cortina, a colleague has a Capri. He mislaid his key. No problem, my Cortina key fitted it perfectly!
  14. Not heard of that... Have you tried a forum serach?
  15. My wife bought her RX from Coventry. EXCELLENT all round.
  16. I had a Soarer too. GREAT car. Eventually had an air suspension issue. JEM in London fixed it with a used part. It was fine after that.
  17. Might a Lexus dealer have a spare? ( That's how I got one )
  18. It's quite quiet here at the moment. Maybe we're all out in our RX's enjoying our air con?!
  19. I think a cheque is fair. Keep looking, it's out there somewhere!
  20. And ... A Ford Zephyr. ( Went on holiday (Taxi) in one. Front bench seat, no seat belts ( and a 99 with a flake ). HAPPY days.
