  1. When mine stopped working it was a loose earth wire I believe ...
  2. Hello, I'm just wondering... Our RX350 has just had its water pump replaced. Not a small job as you know. I noticed that the AC ( regassed about 3 months ago and all fine ) is not working. When the AC is on, the revs don't change and the air is not cold and I cannot hear 'it' kicking on and off. Could there be a link or is it just bad luck? Regards.
  3. I didn't think there was a kit, but ... recall a mention on here re: refurb. Maybe 'do' a search on this forum ...?
  4. Nope. No cruise on. It will go into a garage. And yes, I will be having a good pedal check too!
  5. Not sure a 'free' check is always free? I would go to an independent specialist...
  6. I wonder if anyone can help or share their thoughts ? About 2 years ago, I was driving my wife’s 2008 RX350 – joining a motorway. I remember speeding up on the slip road, joining, and found the car still accelerating, though my foot was off the gas pedal. I think I braked, gently, and all was well. About 2 years later ( today ), my wife was driving on suburban roads. She found her car accelerating – quite a lot. She braked, and was quite shaken. The car did slow down. Having trawled the internet, it appears it is a known RX350 issue – certainly in the US. It seems to be described as a, ‘Vehicle Speed Control’. I could not find any indication of a fix. It’s not cruise control, it’s not car mats… Does anyone have any thoughts at all?
  7. I just swapped the DVD. Think I had to have the ignition on, but never disconnected the battery...
  8. + I would get 'statements' from witnesses asap - before they forget.
  9. Oh dear. https://www.honestjohn.co.uk/askhj/answer/88581/our-neighbour-hit-our-car-quite-badly-and-won-t-pay-for-repairs---what-can-we-do-
  10. I fancy some new all-season tyres for my RX. My Michelin HP Tours have lasted about 4 years and about 30,000 miles, and seem ok still. I'd probably go for Michelin Cross Climates now... But... if I keep my car for another 2 years, I'd rather get the benefit now... Good prices currently. I fancy buying the tyres (camskill?) and then getting them fitted. Q. Does anyone have a view on garage vs. mobile fitters? Anyone able to recommend somewhere in Herts at all? Regards as always.
  11. Bought one from a website. £19 I think ... Worked well.
  12. Can I ask ... just curious... Do you mean just behind the rear seats, or nearer to the rear? The tray that holds the jack etc? Regards.
  13. Discovered Fusso via here. Brilliant stuff! ( Soft99 Fusso coat F7 liquid sealant )
  14. Have you had friends etc., drive the car to form an opinion? I'd be escalating this to Lexus HO. 12 months sounds far too long to get a resolution!
  15. Did it get fixed? Seems like air con weather is on the way... I've just had our cars re-gassed - peace of mind and all that. Bring on the rays ...!
  16. ... my wife's RX350 needs a new water pump. We have been told it's about 9 hours work. Does that sound OK, should anything else be done at the same time? ( No belt but a chain I believe. ) 😪
  17. Yes, it did have lightning. I certainly noticed an increase in speed... downhill. And its beige colour added an additional finesse.
  18. Had a grounding strap on my old Ford Cortina - made it go faster - apparently ?!
  19. Oh dear. Jiffy bags - often useless and environmentally unfriendly! Good luck with the replacement.
