  1. Had my spark plugs done, but ONLY because the engine had to be opened up anyway. Had them changed on my beloved Soarer at about 100k. They were still as clean as a very clean clean thing.
  2. Do you get in fixed at the garage?
  3. Did you manage to make any progress? I wondered what colour smoke also...
  4. £6,000? LHD would 'drive' me mad.
  5. Good luck. Let us know how you get on ...
  6. Yes, it does look nice... It's 19 years old, so ideally would have 19 stamps ( not just 12?). Maybe the owner serviced it? A look and a chat with the owner would probably answer lots of questions. To me, more a project car because of its age, than a plug and play? From my own air suspension experience, it either works or it doesn't. When it doesn't, parts have to be replaced - hence my curiosity about the, 'overhaul'... 50 watchers...
  7. What does, "overhauled the air suspension " mean? Looks nice. Needs new tyres? Monitor and repair if necessary (advisories): Oil leak, but not excessive (8.4.1 (a) (i)) Nearside Rear Brake disc worn, pitted or scored, but not seriously weakened (1.1.14 (a) (ii)) Offside Rear Brake disc worn, pitted or scored, but not seriously weakened (1.1.14 (a) (ii)) Nearside Rear Tyre worn close to legal limit/worn on edge (5.2.3 (e)) Offside Rear Tyre worn close to legal limit/worn on edge (5.2.3 (e))
  8. I made one out of an Asda Smoothie bottle ( empty! ). I figured the worst would be it would make little difference. Kept me out of trouble for 45 minutes...

  10. I don't know. Lexus fixed it - about 4 years ago ...
  11. Yes, mine had to have a bit of welding (MOT ). Cost about £150 ...
  12. This post reminded me... And I agree - sounds like a ducting control type thing ... In my RX300, it would make an annoying ticking noise when the air con was on, Drove me mad! It was fixed under Warranty ( is your car still within the 6 months. ) The issue was a small cog - plastic(?) - that wears out eventually... Maybe similar? Try all the control options to look for a pattern?
  13. Someone with a 3D printer could knock these out and sell them ...?
  14. Maybe get a 2nd quote from a trusted, local specialist? Lexus will replace, someone else might 'fix' it?
