  1. Just a general thought... It has been suggested to me, and I can see the logic, that some DVRs/NVRs, don't like power cuts. I have bought a small UPS ( Uninterruptible Power Supply(, from A....., for about £79. Just to be on the safe side, which will power the cameras as well...
  2. I suggest... Get a piece of paper, and write the pros and cons, as you know them, of each car model you are interested in, to help make your choice. Only you know your local conditions, car dealers, prices, garages, spare parts availability, most popular and reliable local-to-you car make. Only you know your budget, local market conditions, local road conditions etc. So only you can make the decision. Every car is different. There are good and bad examples of each, well maintained ones and poorly maintained ones etc. Good luck. I suggest... this thread be closed now.
  3. IF you really wanted the extras, buy them independently, maybe - and cheaper? I was offered them and my wife. We both declined. We would never have used them and they only last a year... Save the money, I suggest!
  4. If it was me... I would save the money and not bother. Warranty: yes. Extras: no. Maybe extend the warranty: probably £995 for another 2 years?

  11. Be interesting why it's being suggested it might need to be replaced. Who/why? If it's a recent purchase, can you reject it ? Or the seller gets it fixed at their cost? Record everything agreed in writing?
  12. When was the oil last changed - time/miles? It can go black quite quickly'ish.
  13. I have my slider pins re-greased at every service. It has served me well.

  15. +1 Good spot. The words, "minor" and "front bonnet damage", just don't go together well! If it's been stated it's probably a poor repair. What else has been fixed I wonder?
  16. If it was me, I wouldn't. 300,000 miles is high. Others may disagree?
