  1. Great read. My RX which I have had for 6 years is almost 18 years old. I know all its quirks - very few - and feel safe and secure in it.
  2. Nice! What tyres do you use?
  3. I took it out - successfully - to stop the sunroof randomly opening when I was driving ( in the rain ). I think it's a faulty switch so will see if I can find a replacement switch.
  4. Mine is 'hidden' under the steering wheel area on the RHS. ( On my Soarer it was in the boot. )
  5. Hatfield Lexus charged me a charge once. They could not fix the problem, so charged me nothing. Very decent of them for an hour of labour!
  6. My RX has an OFF button - not quite the same I know, but may be of use?
  7. 1. Yesterday. 2. Not yet! Soon... 3. Yes. Have a great day also!
  8. This?
  9. This helped, even though it's for a LHD car.
  10. Thank you and yes. Found it. It's on the front passenger side underneath the glove box. Had to remove the lower panel, ( 3 square holes with catches ) , unclipped the small footwell light. Left the glovebox in place. Looked underneath and its very near the bottom LHS, by the door, with a small rectangular black panel in front of it.
  11. Wind/rain? Moth? ...
  12. Thank you - I'll take a look. Cold meat and pickles today (etc) - Beano and Dandy stylee.
  13. Sorry - it must be me. I've read the manual, searched the internet, removed the drivers side panel under the glovebox, lain on my back with a torch to locate, on both the front RHS and LHS, but I cannot find the second fuse box/panel. ( Not the main one under the bonnet, the 'other' one. ) Any wisdom for my standard RHD RX300 Gen 2., greatly received. Happy Boxing Day. Piers.
  14. ... and my 2003-2004 RX300. I can remove the panel under the glovebox inside the car - the large black one - but cannot see a fusebox. Does anyine have any clues please? ( Not the fusebox inside the engine compartment. )
  15. Happy Christmas everyone. Piers.
  16. ... or try LifeSure. https://www.lifesure.co.uk/
  17. Indeed! Been doing quite a bit of digging - suspect a faulty or damaged sunroof switch? No time to fix it, so my thinking is... take out the fuse 48? LOVE mince pies ( M&S are the best. ) Happy Christmas.
  18. I know I should look at the manual - but a bit of a question and moral support... Driving to move some stuff for my daughter ( in heavy rain ), the sunroof opened - randomly. Ghost of Christmas past? Fortunately she was able to be on roof-watch and close it. Then it opened again - about 8-10 times in total... I am thinking water ingress? But... I don't really use the sunroof. I was thinking, there must be a way of disabling it. Possibly a fuse? 48? Could I just take it out? Car is almost 18 years now. Still love it...
