  1. I skim the 'HJ' answers now. Seem to mostly be recommendations for Amazon items and Kwik-Fit.
  2. Have you asked the 'garage' where you bought your car about them?
  3. Yes, mine is an SE-L ( with air suspension. All 4 air struts replaced over time.)
  4. PS. According to 'howmanyleft' of my model and year, I think it's about 500...
  5. Worth getting a second quote? ( My Soarer back in the day - a/c not working, quoted about £1,000 to fix it. Second quote, about £40 to regas it. It was fine ever more... )
  6. It's a shame the listing doesn't have more interior pictures. I'd be curious to see...
  7. Indeed, yes. ( But the good news was, it can be done! )
  8. My beloved but ageing RX300 has just had another MOT and service. It did need some welding, again, but the mighty Japex(Herts) took care of it. The usual brakes ( callipers greased ) etc. It's a labour of love. Ready for the Winter now. (Soon be Christmas!)
  9. I think it depends more on how much you like your car... Using a good independent helps a lot with costs and someone who gets to know your car. The grass can be greener, but not always...
  10. Personally, I'd go for he more expensive of the two, whichever that is, just to make sure that 'everything' is 'done' that needs to be...
  11. Does it have any Lexus Warranty on it that needs to be maintained through Lexus servicing? Lots of info., here: https://www.lexus.co.uk/owners/servicing-and-maintenance/vehicle-service/#pricing
  12. Snap. Return it clean and fuel replaced and all will be well.
  13. eBay? Breakers yard?
  14. I just listen for the click and look for the lights flashing. ( A car honk late at night is not something I would want... )
  15. Is it worth asking whoever fitted the replacement? Something not reconnected? Have you checked the tiny switch near the driver footwell?
  16. Did you come to any conclusions, Vivienne? ( Ironically, my car needs some welding for this current MOT... opposite side to last year.)

    MRI

    Thank you.

    MRI

All good advice. I had a DRE x 2. ( Once was enough! ) And I agree. PSAs can be 'volatile'. Gentlemen of a certain age should certainly 'be aware'. ( Bowel Cancer checks also. )

    MRI

Well, It's a good result. I got a clear scan and a 1 to 2, out of 5, of 'getting' cancer (again), 1 being the lowest and 5 the highest. So, if you're interested, I'll have a another blood test in 4 months and 4 months after that. It's a good result. Thank you for ALL your supportive comments and practical advice. My advice? For an MRI, a mild sedative does help, a mask does help, feet first does help, if an option.
  20. Mine rusted a bit... I just had it welded in-situ. Cost about £150. Is it worth getting a second opinion on yours?
  21. Vinyl (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cameo_(band) )
  22. Snap. I like the higher-end mechanicals, the old-school Pulsar LEDs. ( And comics - the ones you read, not the, now un-funny ones you see on TV ). And retro generally. Maybe it's an age thing?
