    Anyone planting winter vegetables this month? We have a small greenhouse, so it seems silly to leave it dormant in the winter. As the tomatoes die back, I've planted cabbages, rocket, radishes - turnips and onions outside. Kale (perennial) to follow...

    Me... no. You... I sense that peace of mind and insurance is important to you. I say in all seriousness, IF you can afford it and that cost will give you the value peace of mind you may seek, then perhaps yes. After all, we are all different. I try to mitigate the risk and park away from vehicles, leave gaps etc... where possible.

    Well... subject to collecting it, having paid a deposit, I've bought one. Seemed to be the best I could find. Solid service history, HPI clear, clean as MOT, looks immaculate, drives well. Less than 50,000 miles and a 2014 Q2. Just the Q2 manual. But its quality and provenance made me do it. Good price too. SO many out there are not as described, poor MOT history, odd stories, private posing as traders etc...

    Each to their own. Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. But as to 'difference', difference in what... mpg, smoothness, cleanness, emissions etc? Best to do what you want but I don't think anyone truly knows or knows whether it's worth the extra cost?

    Thank you all. I am hoping... that when I sell it, someone who can use their own labour, will do it up and keep it on the road. Still looks lovely, but it does have issues, which makes it non-viable for me... 😞

    Well... sadly, my RX300 will cost a few thousand to get through its latest MOT ( mostly old age and corrosion ) and I have been advised it's not worth doing... ( FOC ). The advice is ( with no MOT ) sell it to webuyanycar. It's been a great car, took me to Scotland and back - 1,000 miles plus. But her time has come. I'm going to search now for a used Toyota Iq. [ If anyone is looking to sell one... ]

    Thank you. Very interesting to hear... My PSA varies, I have also had a (clear) related MRI and two DRE's ( also clear). The first DRE was with my GP. As my name was called out in the waiting room, the doctor appeared wearing a plastic apron and rubber gloves. I expect the other patients waiting all secretly thought, "rather him than me!".

    Well... I had my colonoscopy yesterday. The result was clear which was good and I am glad I had it. The 20 minutes was painful, but something to be endured for the greater good. I am a great believer in saying thank you, as best I can, so sent some chocolates to the nurses and consultant to say, 'thank you'. They were all brilliant, professional, reassuring, kind; just everything you would wish them to be. Thank you for all the support I received here. It was and is truly appreciated.

    Not sure why I am sharing this, just makes me feel better about it... I have a colonoscopy later this week ( my third ). I know it's of great value and an 'investment' as it were, but it still makes me anxious. The previous one was somewhat painful. I liken it to a length of garden hose with a Kodak InstaMatic Sellotaped to the end... 😮
