Excellent Article Mat, well done mate, and thanks.
P.S Does the bird come round and do it for you :winky:

I drive regular in Europe, France, Holland, Belgium and Germany, and have never been bothered by anyone, or flashed.
But the only problem I have had, was carrying a can of fuel in the boot. The french don't like that and they will confiscate it. They did that to us ages ago, but we got wise cos they were confiscating it, then selling it to french drivers that had broken down.
We now carry a jerry can of spare fuel, and a bag of sugar. If the french want the fuel, give it to them AFTER you have put the sugar in! Watch their faces and listen to the grumbles when you make the fuel useless to anyone. B)

My windscreen is a "rash" of tiny stonechips. Someone told me you can get them polished out, is this true?
Any info how and where would be appreciated.
Thanks

Mines just ran out of the 3 year warranty, but wouldnt something like that be covered on the corrosion and anti-perforation, which is about 12 years I think.
Mine have started to turn white in places around the rim. Absolutely no kerb rash at all

Would there be any benefit in fitting one of these to a standard motor?
-
Is that the TDI Kit made from Carbon Fibre? Have you got the cold air box aswell for it Don?
I was looking at these only yesterday. If it is the CF one, whats the quality like?
Are they worth the money, and the 4 week wait?
-
I am soooooooo thick
Its just when I view other folk's motors, I see a view/sign guestbook.
Obviously I cant see my own link............
Stupid Boy
Cheers Mat

Thanks for that Zee, but then again, any gain is a positive don't you agree?
It all falls in with the master plan anyway.........charger

Just spoke with Lexus Grimsby, Ive ordered and paid for a set, should be here on Tuesday so I will let you all know what they are.
I am an impatient sort of git, so I couldnt wait for a group buy to happen....
Its cost me 171.04 for Volume 1, Volume 2 and the Supplement RM776E. Apparently the other supplement is for Auto Transmission. Didn't bother with the wiring one yet, i tend to leave electrics alone, nasty stuff..
It would be nice if a group buy could still go ahead though so everyone else can benefit, but Lexus Grimsby did say that the Goldies Discount doesn't cover for repair manuals or books of any kind. tight gits

Mechanical Engineering Services Company, supplying services to the Chemical, Oil & Gas Refining Industry world-wide.

I live in the most awful place on earth, Scunthorpe, the mucky dirty old steel town in North Lincolnshire, got my own house which Im doing up to be all minimalist and hyper-modern with loads of stainless steel and gadgets. Girlfriend of nearly 5 years lives with me, as does her son, 16 years just left school, going to college to be a plumber.
Plans: The build the business to the level where it can afford to build a racing lexus painted in the company colours, and race it at weekends....... :winky:

Can anyone help please. I have noticed that one or two of ou have a facility in your garage's to view/sign guestbook.
How do I add this facility to mine.
thanks

if you can email your cv to me in microsoft word format, I will have a look at it and give it some mods if you like
pm me for private email address

Yeah, I think I will remove the Pre-Cats, I must source some replacement pipes.
One thing that concerns me is the temperature of the tail pipe. Is this heat likely to damage my paint on my rear bumper. The tail doesn't touch, there is about a 15mm gap, but it gets damm hot. Should I put a heat shield on do you think?
-
Took her for some thrape last night down the motorway just for purposes of testing and bedding her in of course
I hope the smell goes in a bit, its gastly.
I think I will get rid of the pre-cats, but Im just a little worried about test time, and really cannot be ****d with changing things over again just to satisfy a test.
Just want an induction kit now....... nice sound at both ends then............suck at front, blow at back.. :D
-
Whats the holes either side of the tail for then?

Ive had a reply from LGB with reference to the Manuals, here it is:
Mr Jenkin,
I have now had the opportunity to investigate this with our technical department, who have advised that the following manuals are available for order from any Lexus Centre (contrary to the advise provided by Lexus Hull). All prices are given in R.R.P.
There are three repair manuals on IS200
Volume 1 publication No. RM684E1 (£65.87 + VAT)
Volume 2 publication No. RM684E2 (£95.12 + VAT)
Supplement Volume publication No. RM870E (£127.17 + VAT)
Supplement Volume publication No. RM776E (£10.05 + VAT)
Note! None of the above contain electrical wiring diagrams that's a separate manual publication No EWD368F (£45.54 + VAT) and a supplement volume publication No.EWD 452E (£63.71 + VAT)
As mentioned, these can be ordered at any Centre by there publication No.
I hope this helps
Best Regards
Aaron Simmons

Would there be any chance we could maybe get a group buy going for them, either on their own, or as a set. I must find out what the supplements contain, it might just be servicing data or something.
They are very pricey indeed dont you think, but us budding modders will find them very useful.

:D Its fitted
Wow, it sounds beastly............
How do I put a link to video on here, I will do some video of it while I rev the knackers of it.........
-
Thats gonna be one awesome sight, all those sexy lexy parked together. Hey, you never know, Jez Clarkson might even give us all a mention on the show.
might even be able to get him to go for a spin in a proper car.............
Do we get to go into the green room
-
Done it..
-
OK, so lets assume that my pre-cats are lunched. How much pain in the wallet can I expect?
How can you test the pre-cats, I would imagine you can do a emmisions test, would that pick it up?
-
Mine does the same, especially when I slow down and apply the brakes as I am pulling into my drive. I will give the grease a go. Thanks for that
-
I didnt think Sebring did an exhaust for IS200 either. 325 Euro works out about 218 british pounds. Thats a little expensive if it is just a back box, I would ask a few more questions if I were you. If you are unsure in any way at all, dont buy it. Try JDM_Parts_Guru, and he will source you a good one.
-
Jim, try this link, they do some Sealey ones that carry 210mm width
http://www.justoffbase-tools.co.uk/tools.a...t=1I2060P1193M0
Ive had to just copy the link because it wouldnt let me post it properly (Im all thumbs with computers)
Give em a try Jim.
Cheers Mate

Sorry to say this mate, but don't rest easy. The french authorities are in touch with DVLA and a fine may find its way to you after about 2 months. We had an ex employee flashed outside Le Havre and we got a ticket sent to us requesting the driver name address etc cos it was a hire van, so dont be too surprised if you get one.
Its the same with parking tickets too Im afraid.
But what happens if a foriegner speeds over here...............NOTHING!
