Hi. I'm hoping you still use the forum. I recently bought an is300 off of Stuart. And hes got your old is I could have too. I know it's a cheek but have you any service history books or any other paperwork. Also was it driving ok prior to the accident as im considering getting back on the Rd. Any info would be great. Hi John, not sure if Stuart told you but the IS300 belonged to a man over the road from me but he could not use the internet so I was the go between. As far as paperwork I would have thought Archie, the owner would have given Stuart all the paperwork. Archi was very careful with his cars so I imagine he would have it serviced and checked yearly. Indeed he also did repairs on it as he was car mad owning several Gilburn sports cars. I bought a Nissan 300NX off him and the manual even recorded the mileage he moved the wheels round to get the best out of his tyre wear. As far as the Lexus is concerned It was running perfect when he ran into the back of a stationary lorry at 15 MPH. We anticipated repairing it but he decided to buy another Lexus. I think Stuart had it for the wheels as they were in excellent condition. I know the engine and gearbox were excellent and providing it hasn't been run should be OK. The boot lift assist had gone so we put a single strut in off a ford fusion as a Lexus unit was over £100.
Sorry cant help anymore, ask Stuart about the paperwork and if he hasn't got it I will ask Archie if he's still got it.

Scrap man offered £150, I've held off for another week then its going. God the alloy wheels are worth that much. Put a picture on of the damage. Someone on ebay was flogging a bonnet a wing and headlight for £200 in the same colour Fogot to say its MOT till June 2015 and the front bumper is in the cab. Jim

Just wrecked My beloved Lexus 2003 IS300 with 70,000 miles on the clock. Took out a SORN notice on it with intention to repair but ended up buying another Lexus. Does anyone want it for spares or repair before I phone the scrap merchant. It will need a new bonnet, wing and light clusters, plus a bit of TLC. Its in the Birmingham area and you will need a car transporter to move as it has the SORN.
