I have fitted an electronic throttle controller to my 430 which has eliminated that horrible throttle lag. Best money ever spent on a car, highly recommended!

It is very slight, I only noticed it as I'm probably being extra sensitive with her being new to me :) Just read my original post and realised how many typos there were, sorry :)

Doing some reading I think it could be the brake booster... does this keep going off while driving/braking?

I can hear a faint buzzing Tiptree noise when I first stay the car up which I believe to be the traction control system self testing? My concern is it seems to do this several times while drubbing as well, ie when coming to a stop. . I wad unmet the impression it only did it the one on start up. ..

I've had a quick look but couldn't see anything obvious... I've noticed when closing the drivers door the latch just slightly catches on the hook making a knocking sound when closing... I'd say it only needs a couple of mm adjustment door up/hook down ) Is it possible?

Hey :) Got my new GS430 and I'm living it but it had a few issues. .. one that had me stumped is the rear passenger window. .. It goes down but then refuses to go back up 99% of the time. Doesn't matter which switch I use or even the total closure feature of the remote. I can hear a faint clicking from the door when the button is pressed. Any ideas guys? :)

So maybe not a full quarter panel paint job then?

How much of an expensive nightmare is this going to be? The back bumper paint issue i can live with but the rust on the quarter panel looks expensive... Any bodywork guru's on here?

Thanks :) More happy about the drive up now :) but will be taking it steady regardless :) and will be booked in for timing belt and water pump as soon as she is home... I think price wise IMO she is slightly above the normal selling range but she has the addition of Blitz exhaust (which is supposed to sound really nice :) ) new HSD coilovers, Supra 4 pot brakes and the Supra LSD.

Aye... chances are she's good for many more miles but there's always that niggling doubt lol... Any thoughts on the price?

Oh no of course not :) It would be purely a what if it was your car scenario :) would you travel the 280 miles home? In no way would I hold anyone accountable for what potentially could happen to a car from an opinion given over the Internet :) Unfortunately, the wheels are the one thing she doesn't come with from that pic... comes with the standard 18in sport rims...he wants another £1000 for them in the pic. Do you think £3200 is a fair price?

I'm making a 280 mile trip on bus and train on Sunday to get my new GS430 sport :) I have a concern though as I'll be driving it back up north. .. She has 113k miles on the clock and is 12 years old now. .. Age and mileage don't worry me too much but she hasn't had a timing belt service! I've no problem getting her booked in back home at local main dealer to get the work done but I'm concerned about the drive up! Am I being foolish risking the drive? I know the 100k/10 year is just a guide but. .. Oh, and here's a quick pic :)

Got a quote of £299 Inc vat from main dealer. They say water pump and tensioner don't need doing unless they are faulty... sound right? Quite surprised they didn't try and push the extra work for more money... a refreshing change :)

Well I'm coming from a twin turbo subaru legacy so fuel consumption is about the same :) Are these happy to run on 95 or do they need premium?

Cheers for the welcome guys :) Looking to view/pick up next weekend all being well :) just a shame the car is at the other end of the country lol It seems to have some nice mods as well... coilovers, supra LSD and a blitz exhaust system... Anything to look out for on these? She's done just over 100k miles bit I'm guessing that's just run in for a lexus V8? Thanks, Mark
