  1. I like the black roof looks good. I would go with the OEM design type spoiler in body colour though, to much after-market tat looks naff imho. If you like it though is really all that counts. Post some pics once done. Ed
  2. Not sure what to suggest, my Z1 compact has worked flawlessly with the Lexus system since it upgraded to Kitkat. Is your phone running the latest Android version?
  3. The one I fitted is definitely brighter than the filament bulb it replaced. Maybe 5w isnt powerful enough? I fiited a 7.5w and some were 20 and some 50W!! Ed
  4. Only one bulb required!! Why Lexus feel it is acceptable to only fit one reversing light and one fog light is beyond me. Even a Dacia Duster has two of each!! :megaangry:
  5. Not powerful enough as it is described as a W5W which is for side lights. You need a W16W type. I fitted one of these and it is pretty bright compared to the weedy little filament bulb it replaced. It also has a COB LED which are brighter than standard apparently. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/291324868533?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Hope this helps. Ed
  6. If you do not want to spend the money on the illuminated tread plates then consider replacing the puddle lights with some logo projector type. I bought a pair off ebay for around £20. They are plug & play fitted in ten minutes. Ed
  7. My 32gb works instantly which I believe is the max supported size although I tried a 64gb and it worked ok. to. Sandisk sticks often have annoying vault software installed this could be slowing it down. I use these. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kingston-Technology-16GB-DataTraveler-Micro/dp/B007V9U81E/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1452708320&sr=8-2&keywords=usb+stick+small Ed
  8. Very unlikely I would have thought. Why would anyone even contemplate it? Ed
  9. You are welcome. I was on another forum for my previous car and a guy on there did drill holes but ballsed it up so had to make the bigger with a file it look terrible. Modern adhesives are the way to go. The Lexus spoiler weighs very little so doesn't need bolting on. Fsport IS300H may not be any different under the skin although the suspension is stiffer. It is more of a trim level same as Rsport on the Jag XE which may well be my next car. As much as I like the Lexus I never want the same car again. The GS is an option but it doesnt appeal. Enjoy Ed
  10. You drill holes into your boot lid if you want to. You asked me how I fixed mine and I have told you!! This kind of stuff http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BODY-KIT-SPOILER-FIXING-ADHESIVE-GLUE-CAR-BODY-REPAIR-/220446791248
  11. small electrical screwdriver and gently lever the lens from the housing.
  12. No holes to drill!! I used body kit adhesive. Tigerseal or Sikaflex. Ed
  13. I fitted these pretty bright and working well. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151451920351?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Ed
  14. If you want to mod your car and you enjoy it then do it!! Ask the opinion of others on here but ultimately make your own mind up. I added a spoiler to my Fsport because I like how it looks. It is purely cosmetic and I have no desire to make a track day car. Many mods to cars are cosmetic and there is nothing wrong with that. Enjoy your car Ed
  15. Here is a quick snap apols the Fsport has been earning its keep over the last few days so needs a wash. I think the spoiler looks the dogs. Cost around £200 fitted. Ed.
  16. I fitted this type. It looks exactly the same as the OEM Lexus type except the price! I think it looks superb on an Fsport IS300 & looks factory (dealer) fitted as some IS300`s are supplied. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UNPAINTED-FOR-LEXUS-IS250-IS350-IS300h-F-SPORT-F-TYPE-REAR-TRUNK-WING-SPOILER-/231706853199?hash=item35f2cdff4f:g:aXkAAOSw9r1WDO9U Ed
  17. i checked mine today and the reverse bulb has a 501 fitting but the bulb is approx 30mm in length, maybe if you use a canbus led as they are longer and they also have the leds positioned on the end to throw light outwards maybe something like these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10X-T10-8-SMD-501-W5W-ERROR-FREE-XENON-WHITE-CANBUS-LED-SIDE-LIGHT-BULBS-/190929841243?hash=item2c744e2c5b:g:7M8AAOSwEK9T30oR http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Compact-Star-XENON-LED-Parking-Side-Light-Bulb-12v-501-W5W-T10-wedge-canbus-/290731801199?hash=item43b0f73a6f:m:mNXdXgMicyB10H0mBLUGkWw I used one of these. The bulb is a W16W. I ordered both but one of them was a little to long but I cannot remember which, sorry not very helpful. The COB led on the end is very bright. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171944953381?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/291324868533?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT Ed. Having looked at your links, the first one, the LED appears to be 45.5mm long and the second one is 48mm long. Am I correct in thinking that the longer one doesn't fit anyway? Thanks for the links. Are you still happy with the end result? The Led bulb is much brighter than the filament bulb it replaced. It almost makes up for there only being one lamp fitted. I would post a picture but on the train at present on my way home. One of the bulbs in the links fitted although I think it was the girth rather than the length but to be honest cannot remember now. I would have a look but it involves removing the boot lid liner trim which is a pain. Ed.
  18. The sensitivity of the auto lights is adjustable mine works pretty well now. To be honest I wouldn't want the lights to be activated by the wipers. if it is raining the auto lights activate regardless of the wipers, seems a better option to me. Ed

  20. It worked on my Fsport. You do have to be precise in the switch positions so persevere. Read the thread, others had a few tries before success. http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/92646-lane-changing-signal/page-2 http://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-3rd-gen-2014-present/739151-can-you-change-lane-change-flasher-from-3-flashes-to-more.html
  21. I agree about the single reverse light. I changed the bulb for a high power LED equivalent which is loads brighter. I haven't noticed any judder on engine kick in on my car.
  22. It runs on 5v so easier imho to run the cable down the door pillar and find a feed there for the 12v to 5v power supply to plug in. I used the socket in the cubby box as the supplied captive cable was easily long enough. There are though some fairly small 12v to 5v usb power supplies available if you want to spend more and they probably would fit under the headlining. Ed.
