  1. So I'm guessing Find the right copper tube and some flexihose and clamps. Cut the failing tubing out and connect the new tubing into the existing flexihose and the new flexihose and clamp it all up. Top up the power steering and turn the steering left to right to bleed it through and remove any air. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  2. Ah that's a great fix, thanks. I'll see if I can get that done. Is the system under pressure or anything? I don't want to make a start on it and it comes squirting out with a force. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  3. Well I've done a bit of digging and it looks like I might have found the part number 44406 50220 Tube sub assembly return no1. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  4. I had to top up the power steering fluid the other day and when I moved the car to mow the lawn I've noticed some stains on the tarmac driveway. Didn't notice before as I always reverse into the same spot. Anyway on inspection it appears to be the metal tubing in front of the radiator is failing. (See photo's) I'm not sure what the part is called so I'm looking for either the name or part number. Your thoughts please... Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  5. Thats seems like a good video. My 2000 ls430 cd player gave up the ghost a long time ago, then the tape player and the radio although the radio did play intermittently. I might just give this a go. Nothing to lose really [emoji106] Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  6. Wouldn't be surprised if it's just the battery needs replacing. With all the tech onboard they do like a good battery. Happened to me before, put a new one in and it all went back to normal. Borrow one maybe, just to try? Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  7. Love to but... Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  8. Ah...hadn't realised it was a celsior [emoji106] Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  9. Look great. Should they 18's though? My "55" has 245 45 18. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  10. Left hand drive is ok when you get used to it. I've had a chevy dayvan daily driver and a 1955 Cadillac coupe de'ville. A bit hairy when you first start driving them but you soon adapt. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  11. Ooh I'd have it! Get rid of that t.v though and replace it with drop downs. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  12. Very interested to know why a celsior and not a lexus? I know there are few differences but what is it that makes you choose this way? Is it that the imports are lower mileage? Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  13. Yes of course it's salvageable. It's just whether you want to spend more on it than it would cost to buy a decent one. Looking at it objectively: F/door, r/door, r/wing, r/ bumper, wheels,4 tyres, brakes, brake discs, exhaust system, fuel lines, fuel tank, rear window, interior, keys, radiator, hoses, aircon, paint, battery and who knows what amount of electricals. I just don't see a future for it except as a donor car... possibly. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  14. I'd have thought it was a breaker Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  15. Nice car Paul and 70000 miles is really good. I've got two at the moment as one was damaged but is being repaired at the moment. ( couldn't wait so bought a second one). I hadn't known that there was a roof rack a available for the Lexus. Probably only my opinion but for me it's like having a roof rack on a rolls royce. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  16. I spent 33 years in royal mail and all the vans turned pink. Now the smaller vans are changed every 3-5 years Sent from my EML-L29 using Tapatalk
  17. No! Factor in a complete respray Sent from my EML-L29 using Tapatalk
  18. I bought my bearing from a firm called sjrautoparts on eBay in September 2017. The price then was £54.89. You can probably find others on there even cheaper. Easy enough to fit as well. Sent from my EML-L29 using Tapatalk
  19. Well I suppose I was lucky that I only had to replace one side. It's probably one of those jobs where it's advisable to do both sides but I figured " if it ain't broke don't fix it" I could only hear my bearing when turning, not in a straight line. Sent from my EML-L29 using Tapatalk
  20. I think if the noise is when you turn right it's your left hand bearing. My older 430 did this when turning left and was fine when I replaced the right hand one Sent from my EML-L29 using Tapatalk
  21. Well the jobs have all been done and the exhausts look and sound great. The company have obviously taken on board the comments about the exhausts were slightly offset and rectified that so happy days. Sent from my EML-L29 using Tapatalk
  22. My plates have the England flag on the left with England below, ( which they say you can't have) and at the bottom middle they have my first initial and my surname. Never had a problem at the m.o.t. Sent from my EML-L29 using Tapatalk
