  1. Thanks for the reply. It appears that woodford is my nearest lexus dealership. I'm not sure what level of service I need but I'll check with my service manual when I get home. As you have stated it is a 2nd belt change so the water pump change makes sense too.
  2. Morning, can anyone recommend somewhere I can get a service and cam belt change on my ls430. I live near Romford in Essex. Thanks.
  3. Thanks. sorry i didnt get your Tesco car park bit :) What I meant was your car would look nice anywhere, the car enhances the scenery around it. It would even make a tesco car park look good.
  4. Nice scenery and the car looks awesome....but a car as nice as this would look awesome in a Tesco car park.
  5. hey they look great. Can you tell me where you got them from and how much. Also, were your tailpipes straight or pointing down like mine? cheers.
  6. Changing the subject slightly. I've been offered a set of 4 good ls430 wheels with excellent rubber on them for £400. The tyres on mine are ok but will need replacing before too long so do you reckon this would be a good idea to buy them now?
  7. Ha ha, well I can draw on my pension from October. I don't want to make it look like it has a pair of rockets sticking out the back, but just want to make it look a little smarter.
  8. I don't know if this is tacky or not but I was thinking of putting chrome tips on my tail pipes. Mine is a 2000 model and the pipes turn down at the ends so I don't even know if there is anything that fits. Has anyone else done this?
  9. Just got a quote from Adrian Flux and I will be taking that up starting the 1st september. Full comp, £300 excess 6000 miles per year and all the other bits for £416. Current insurer quoted £534, and £500 excess so I have saved £118....TOUCH!
  10. Yep guessed right Simon and Malc. Thanks.
  11. Well Simon your suggestion about the under seat heating pipe end clip made me think. The guys at the car wash vacuumed the car so I set the front passenger seat forward and looked underneath. Lo and behold the mystery was solved. It's the end cap for the left hand seat runner. I guess it was dislodged by the vacuum.
  12. Approximately 60 mm long by 40 mm wide by 30mm in depth. I hadn't noticed it in the car before but wonder if it may be some sort of capping to something.
  13. I've just had the car cleaned and when I got home I noticed something on the back seat. I have no idea if it's something to do with the car or whether it's just something the guys found when cleaning the interior. Anyone recognise this piece of plastic?
  14. I know what you mean. On my last car I even removed the spare wheel from the boot and replaced it with a tin of that crap you squirt in if you get a puncture. Now I don't bother with all that and my wife's wheelchair is also a permanent feature in the boot when we are not out together.
  15. Yes it was 114.9 at the time and I suppose I can't count the amount that splashed onto my plimpsoles.
  16. I let my car run down so low on fuel the other day I had to limp it spluttering into Tesco's garage, (Yes I know, don't try this at home) I filled the car up until it was absolutely full. It took just over 86 litres and £99.65! I thought the tank held 84 litres?
  17. here's a good trio.........Clarkson, May and Hammond.......I wont be watching it anymore
  18. Contacted Lexus today and they told me there is a switch in the boot near the L/H light that will switch it off. They said they have had customers saying that their rear sensors were not working only to find out that something like a baby buggy had turned it off. Guess what....no switch, bugger!
  19. Ah well maybe I'll have to sort something out. Seems to be a few differences in some cars as mine doesn't have front sensors either. In the owners manual it shows a park assist button too which mine doesn't have.
  20. Here is a picture of the switches. The top one adjusts the mirrors and the bottom one gives the option to fold them in, fold them out or automatically fold in when the ignition is switched off. My car is a November 2000 model.
  21. That switch is to switch off the electric folding mirrors. I had to use that so that they wouldn't try to fold in with the caravan extended mirrors on when I switched off the ignition.
  22. Hi, Is there a way to temporarily turn the rear sensors off as it's rather annoying with them constantly beeping when I'm trying to reverse my caravan. Thanks
  23. "3k" That's what I paid for mine without all the agro and everything working!
  24. Iv'e been using super unleaded in mine since I bought it, so is this unnecessary? seeing as how it generally works out to be the same price as diesel which is about 5p per litre dearer than standard unleaded.
