  1. Thanks again for the help. Perhaps I'll look at the 30 amp fuse next. Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk
  2. Ok so now I have the check screens up and maybe the codes make some some sort of sense? Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk
  3. Alleluya ! Didn't have brake on and was trying without engine running. Thanks for the info! Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk
  4. Thanks for replying. Tried it and nothing happens. Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk
  5. These photos are the screens that come up. 1.Lexus-navigation- 2.press agree - 3.map - 4.press option - .press display - 6.display screen in pic 6 is different This is not what is seen on the video. Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk
  6. Thanks for the reply. The youtube video may be a later car. Mine doesn't follow the sequence in the video and I can't do the tapping of the screen on the left hand side. I haven't looked for the amp fuse but the fact that it came on after all that time must mean the fuse is ok mustn't it? Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk
  7. Hi, yes I've had the unit out, tried it with a replacement unit which came up with the same cd error. Radio and tape player stopped working later. Started to think it might be the amp although the sat navigation works. Not had anyone look at it as it seems that not many repairers are prepared to tackle this unit. 8. My radio/cd player/cassette player have not worked for probably 2 years. I guess I put it down to the troublesome m/l system and just gave up on it in the end which meant I get some LONG quiet journey's . I was sitting in the car waiting for my wife and had the ignition switch in the acc position when all of a sudden the radio came on. When my wife got in the car I started the engine and it went off again. I guess that's that for the next 2 years! Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk
  9. My car is over 17 years old now and still has the same radiator. If there is no leaking what should make me replace it? Age, (just in case) or a common fault in a specific area? Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk
  10. Looks good. Brief description without mentioning servicing etc but low mileage at 101,000. I bought mine at 112,000. Half tempted to buy it just to have a working stereo. [emoji4] Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk
  11. Reminds me of the reg on my goldwing. It ended in BRE. Add that to the last 3 letters in HONDA - BRENDA! Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk
  12. My 430 is a year 2000 and no radio code Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk
  13. Lovely! And....The best colour[emoji4] Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk
  14. Brilliant ! Mind you it'll look to anyone walking by a case of the neighbours keeping up with the Jones '. Lol. Mine is 17 years old now with 14 lexus, 1 toyota and 2 indie services, 2 cam belts, 137000 on the clock and no m.o.t fails ever. Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk
  15. I had that problem last week. I kept messing with the bonnet pull as it didn't seem as though it had returned properly. A few goes of pulling and pushing and the bonnet clicked shut. I guess it might have snagged somehow Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk
  16. I have the ls430 and I find that I have to press and hold the boot key until it opens rather than just pressing and letting go. I don't know if this applies to the 400 though. Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk
  17. Very nice mods. Didn't know there was anything that could be changed or altered on the 430. Gets me thinking now.[emoji4] Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk
  18. Ha, I'm guessing a 4 wheel drive with rear wiper
  19. Ok here's the update to the issue...It was the wheel bearing. Thanks to "the acre" for a correct diagnosis . Sourced the part and fitted it this afternoon. Quite an easy job to do as well if you are keen on the spanners. Weirdly I had an engine light come on this morning but since replacing the bearing and taking it for a drive the light has gone off. Don't know if a diagnostic test would reveal the bearing problem but it just seems a bit of a coincidence . Anyway , happy days and thanks again.
  20. Probably a replacement amplifier needed. Tried a replacement cd player...same problem as original so given up. I now listen to "the sound of silence"
  21. Sod all! Mark levinson Stereo system gave up ages ago
  22. And the answer will be pointed out when the mot is due. 😊 going to wait until then to be sure and if it is the wheel bearing I'll order a pair and do them both myself. I'll re-post when it's done.
