Thanks for the replies, I'll see what happens, if i get it up to an average of 30 I'll be well pleased.

Hi all I'm new to Lexus and this forum so here goes. I got my RX400H SR 2008 on 03/01/15 and since then have done 500 miles so I thought I'd reset the trip computers to see what the economy was like as before I did the average was about 30 ish which I was quite happy with as petrol is 7p a litre cheaper and 30 was about 23 mpg beter than me Jeep was doing. Since I reset the trips the average has gone down to 26 which is still a bit cheaper but not as good. Short journeys and around town seem to kill it which is what I thought the hybrid system was good for. Will it get better. Cheers Peter.
