Yup all that is there but there is no space for wheel lock code or key code, just Model, Reg No, Vin No, Engine No, Stock No, Colour code, Trim code and delivery date nothing else.
Looked all through the book but not there, I checked that it is the correct book for the car as stamps match separate invoices from the dealer. but thanks for the info!
Hi all
When I got my RX I was supprised to get all three keys with it but the key number tag was missing. Is there a way of getting this number without shelling out too much money?
Cheers
PS
Changed the battery on my 400h and had to reset the reverse camera guide line by turning the steering from one lock to another when prompted. This worked for me!
Just taken the valet key apart and the blade is fixed into one half of the plastic case, the screw secures only the two halves together, if you try to remove the blade from the plastic you'll brake it!
Vote with your feet and don't go back but I would send the info to VOSA, there are enough "rouge traders" out there, it sounds like they were trying it on!!!
Not had to put then to the test yet but I did have to in my ML 270 when a large tipper pulled into the second lane on the M56 without looking. EBA and ABS is great!!!
Had a look at my service document and it shows that the timing belt must be replaced at 100,000 miles not just inspected so I would assume that the cost of a Full + 100 would include this. I also asume that the * refers to fitting an idler or waterpump if found to be needed.
I've looked at the service prices and it says
FULL + 100 Our most comprehensive service, with the additional 100,000 mile replacement of longer service interval items.
It doesn't say what they replace, does anyone know what these are?
Replaced all of mine (front and rear) just after I got it (400h) got the parts from Europarts, total cost just under £200. Rear caliper sliding pins were very bad with one seized. My local garage freed it off. Got new ones from Lexus Birmingham on Ebay for £35 for both sides. Did the work myself, it wasn't too difficult.
This caught me out too, there are two nuts the obvious one and the one way above it. You don't need to remove any trimm. THe two fixings don't need to be removed they are just locating lugs. The cluster comes off with a good pull.
Just put this combination 86271-24122 into the map update site and got this part number PZ445-X01EU-11 Update Disc Europe 2011 DVD (Navteq 2010Q4) as the latest map, so you're better of with a Grmin or TomTom.
The AA sell a small solar panel that sits on the dash and plugs into the OBD socket. This trickle charges the 12V battery, I made my own at 1/3 the cost but I've never had cause to ues it, I had the battery checked at amy local place and they said it was OK but weak so I got a new one. I left the car in the airport carpark for a week and had no problems starting. I think I'd use the solar panel though as a precaution if I left it for longer.
Quote "And as other posters have pointed out, it would be a very stupid piece of design if the car could not function without the traction battery."
The car will not run without the traction battery as it is this battery that starts the petrol engine via its integral motor/generator.
This is in addition to the front and rear traction M/Gs
Just been on Holiday for 2 weeks and done 1400 miles. 700 miles towing a 1700 kg caravan and the comouter says 25 mpg. so I recon 20 towing and 30 for the rest. Not bad for a big lump!!!
Looks like you're right, just read the manual, it does mention a DVD audio disc but it also says it wont play anny typr od recordable DVD. O well I'll stick with my iPod and FM transmitter.
