Further to the queries on Gen 3 12v batteries, ours has just failed and knowing my local Toyota dealer well I took it there. They replaced it with a wet Numax Premium sealed battery, £70 all in including washing the car. When I queried the use of wet, they confirmed that most of the hybrids used to come with with standard wet batteries (vented) even if located inside the car and in fact that our car was fitted as such from new. Food for thought when considering some of the exorbitant prices being quoted.

Good evening, I’ve just changed my car (GS450 to RX450) at Cardiff and requested that the service plan be transferred/re arranged and noticed that the new plan offered did not include any discount. I have had these plans for some years now on different cars/dealers but am now told that Lexus no longer discount them. Has anyone experienced this recently, my current discounted plan was applicable from July 2018 and was £1535 less £207 and paid monthly instalments Is this Cardiff/ Salesman trying it on? Cheers

Seat comfort is so subjective though . We were both comfortable in the Luxury we had. After initially considering a 4th Gen I had a test in an F Sport and came away disappointed in seat comfort(lack of) aside from the fact that it has just become too big for us so if it is to be Lexus it will have to be a Gen 3. Hard life isn’t it? Cheers.

Good evening, I intend to change cars in the new year with one option being a 2015 Advance or F Sport. I have most of the info on comparative specifications but not on the seats. Having had a Gen 3 Luxury I am assuming that the Advance will be the same but are the F Sport? Nearest dealer is 80 miles away and they don’t have an example. Does anyone have the necessary experience or information? Cheers

If having service at Toyota they will not be able to do the hybrid health check plus if you have extended warranty it is a condition to use Lexus service. I used my local Toyota dealer whilst in manufacturers warranty as I know them very well. I see you location is Somerset so why Cardiff? I use them as they are nearest but would have thought Bristol is nearest for you.

Good evening, I am looking at buying a 12/13 plate RX450h and am wondering if any members owning one over the last few years would care to give any negative thoughts on ownership especially regarding reliability. I already own IS300h , SWMBO has had a gen 3 Prius and we have had several cvt vehicles so no issues about transmission/hybrid functionality. Regards Wade
