  1. Its hard to say how much power its added as i havent dynod it,it states it will take it to 231bhp o the website but i would think its at around 210bhp,its certainly made a big difference. the torque is awsome. Its been on the car since april and caused no problems at all, easy to fit
  2. Mine is a pro boost 2 from racechip and works well, around £200
  3. One run (60ish miles) a week on motorway seems to keep the DPF clear on mine so you should be ok but maybe better to go for the 250 with you only doing low miles.
  4. Will it be motorway miles you will be mostly doing? If so go for the diesel. Also worth noting is the high tax price of the 250 if its an older model, before 58plate i think.
  5. No i had the sprintbooster first then i got the chip. The torque increase is impressive with the chip,so much torque especially in 3rd n 4th gear, pulls like a train
  6. No ive not had it on a dyno ,its transformed the car though and virtually eliminated the turbo lag and certainly livened up the performance. i would guess its probably around the 210bhp mark,it states on the tuning chip site that the chip takes the car to 231bhp but its doubtfull its that much. i also run on shell vpower diesel
  7. Sprintboost and a tuning box with K N filter works a treat on mine
  8. I wouldnt trust it to be honest
  9. Glad to be of help patrick. normski is right in what hes saying, keep your eyes open and be aware as a 220d that goes wrong can be costly, but get a good one and you will love it. I certainly love mine and wont part with it anytime soon
  10. A warranty would be a good idea. a good read on DPF care here http://www.oilem.com/dpf-cleaners-and-dpf-cleaning/
  11. The laquer tends to peel off the alloys ,mine are ok on my 220d but i had an is200 petrol before this and it had 2 full new sets under warranty
  12. I agree that the head gasket can go at anytime, same as on any other car, what i meant was that a lot of lexus owners were getting the gasket go at below 60k and replacement under warranty, some had gone by 25k that ive heard of so its not an age/high mileage issue
  13. i wouldnt worry too much about the 107k miles ,these cars are capable of huge mileage if theyre looked after properley,i would think any issues will have been sorted under warranty with it having lexus history. The only problems you might have wouldd be DPF if you only drive on short runs and EGR clogging up but to be honest you would have same problem with any turbo diesel of the same age if it doesnt get a motorway run each week. I have a 2007 with 91k on it and have had no problems ,touch wood.
  14. I would be looking for full lexus history in the service book for definate. Also check the coolant in the resevoir,if its anything other than pink i would walk away also check the engine oil for water. To be honest most of the reported problems seem to happen before 60k miles so i would look for lexus history certainly up to 60k and any issues should have been sorted under warranty by lexus. I love mine and in my oppinion they are a reliable well built car, just not a town/school run car
  15. Yes i changed mine on the 80k service, its a bit different to a normal paper filter,i used genuine lexus one
  16. The filter is an easy enough job to change, the dificult part is getting the housing open without breaking the clip
  17. On the 220d theres no panel to remove, the sump drain is easy to see and remove and so is the filter (on mine it is anyway!) The is250 may be different but the protective panels are easy enough to remove should you need to
  18. I seem to use maybe a third of a litre every 5000 miles or so,do you use much? i had a is200 petrol before which i had for 8 years and that use to use quite a lot of oil.was a fantastic ,ultra reliable car though,i loved it
  19. I will maybe have to give millers premium a try.
  20. I just wondered which oil you were all using in your 220d,im doing a change in mine in the coming weeks and at the moment im using 5w 30 mobil ESP.Its expensive especially when i change every 5000/6months. What do you guys use /rate highly??
  21. It did state toyota /lexus wrench on the invoice when mine arrived
  22. It is a 220d mate ,yes. The removal tool is 64.5mm 14flutes and i ordered it off performanceraceparts on ebay
