thanks for the suggestions changed the oil myself so I know it to be good Starter motor working all good. its only when its below 6 drgrees and it turns over fine but just doesnt catch. Wierd Cleaning throttle body and checking operation of cold start mechanism next thanks Iain

a little strange turn the key when its over 5 degrees and ita a silky smooth as expected start. no issue When its cold however on first turn of the key it tries to catch then just churns on the starter . kept churning, resting and churning and pedal pumping until eventually it caught. Wierd thing is it is silky smooth when it starts. when I stop it it restarts no problem as normal any ideas out there ??? cheers Iain

hi folks 1999 GS300 bought last year and love it. just yesterday I parked and left the key in the ignition which may be unrelated but . . ... Couple of hours later the wife got in and drove off. next minute she came back very slowly in reverse saying the car wont accelerate . so Jumped in and right enough it doesnt. VSC and VSC off lights both on ABS light on and a warning that looks like the gearbox on the right of the warning lights cluster is on too. it seems to slip into gear as smoothly as before - just won't drive any clues would be most welcome cheers Iain

hi folks My Gs300 came with only one key luckily its a black 3 button and I assume master. Thanks folks pics will follow after the weather bomb passes. I'm in northern ireland and it's ppi55ing down. love the car smooth as silk and a lovely drive. Usual lcd radio display issue. Worksfine but might get round to it. Getting used to a bigger car again. Last bigish car was a merc e class estate. Car before the lexus was an audi v6 cabrio which now seems like a roller skate.:-):-):-):-)
