  1. Update - so far 242 miles done on my NX 300H F-sport. Average 33.7 mpg since refuel (actually since I took it delivery of it) and climbing. Mixed use 40% motorway, 10% normal roads, 50% city aprox.
  2. That technique seems to do the trick, I just got 42.3 mpg on a 5 miles city run. Veru happy about that, something like half the comsumption I had on my old accord 2.4.
  3. Hi Steve, Thanks for the advice, yes first hybrid too - coming from a Honda Accord 2.4 Auto. On a recent trip to the US I took a Toyota Prius cab. On the motorway, the driver, rather than just keeping the throttle constant, he pretty much did just that, accelerating to a bit more speed than needed, then easing off, then accelerating again and so on. I have heard of that technique before, but it is something I consider unconftable - so I will try any other trick in the book before resorting to that. Breaking early is something that I already did before - with the hybrid now, I always try to keep the gauge in the "charge" section of the power meter for a as long as possible. However, to gain speed, I always used gentle acceleration to speed, it is somethirg that I have to try with the NX, if accelerating sharply and then easing off but keeping speed gets better results (I have heard that too). Dom.
  4. I wonder if somebody has gone for the "standard" navigation instead of the premium and has found things that were not know to be missing on the "standard" one? I myself went for the standard and the first surpise was that the "navigation" tab on the multi-information display is only available with premium (so no guidance/compass for me on the multi-information display) Anybody has found anything else that came as a surprise? Dom.
  5. Hi all, I am the new owner of a Lexus NX 300H F-sport. My first Lexus. So far enyoing it, but not as much as I would like (since mine is not used for work). Still trying to get to grips how to get the best mileage out of the hybrid without resorting to driving slow! Dom.
  6. In my experience ( I have not been able to test during this week, since I do not communte by car) whether the motorway is slightly up, or slightly down, makes a big difference, last week I was getting around 25mpg on the slightly up sections and 40mpg on the slightly down sections - around 75mph. Waiting for the weekend to have some time to play again.
  7. Picked up my NX 300H F-sport last week - so far done 147 miles (do not use it for community to work) and really happy with it.
  8. Currently I have got 35 mpg in 147 miles since I took my NX 300H F-sport from the dealer, with a few caveats: - I have been playing with the gadgets (keeping the NX in "ready") a lot more than one would once he/she is used to the car - I would say it has been 60% motorway (70-80mph), 20% city and 20% open road non motorway. I am expecting it to improve soon.
