We did the sons Vectra last year, three broken springs, replaced all four obviously.
I bought a cheap, £15, eBay set of spring compressors, they only just did the job, the threaded bar was wearing as we tightened up the spring.
I've done a few over the years, they still scare me to death, it's like handling nitroglycerin.
A bloke on another forum told a tale of his mate being a bit "matter of fact" replacing a spring. You know what happened next, one of the spring compressors went through his garage door.
Respect the spring.

Metal magic, Barnsley get some good reviews, haven't used them myself but intend doing so soon, I kerbed a wheel during the winter.

Alternator and starter motor refurb companies are common, I've nearly always gone for refurb. They're usually a third of the price of a new one, I've usually taken the old one off, taken it the the shop and they do you a swap.
Thats seems a very decent price.

Are the Battery terminals loose? Check belts as per above.
Let's start with the easy fix possible issues first before we start buying parts.
Look on YouTube for an instructional video on checking the charging system, Chris Fix is quite good.

I've never taken the mechanism apart, just the mirrors, never had a problem with them.
I just do preventative maintenance by cleaning and lubricating the mechanism.
I use WD40 to clear the water away and then after drying use silicone spray to get into and parts that I feel need lubrication.
The jet wash is not done very often.

I think Shell's R&D into engine oil is just guesswork.
I don't think they know what any of the number and letter combinations mean, it only there to confuse folk.
Watch and listen, it does go on a bit but does enlighten.

I pressure washed behind mine the other day, gave them a right pounding, the **** that came out was amazing.
Sprayed them with silicone spray afterwards and gave them a good twangling before more spray.
Work a treat, they're usually easy to take apart to get at the mechanism.

I don't think I ever take notice of the ETA, there are too many variables, you'll get there around about the time you arrive.
I find that more than adequate.

The sat nav is not the best, I've mentioned it before, BUT, it's a tool, not the best for a supposed quality car, but it's a tool and you have to spend a little time RTM and learning what its limitations are.

I believe you can blank the faulty one, did you clean the MAP sensor When you cleaned the EGR?

Can't you just tighten it and use the car until you find out the torque setting.
Don't often use my torque wrench, except for the wheel nuts.
And I don't think my torque wrench would read so low, I would imagine the torque would be about 7nM, don't quote me on that.

I would say higher, nearer to £150, but Im guessing............ wouldn't use them.
Do a better job myself, and I'm really cheap.

It's had a rear shunt by the looks giving it the matching dents.

15-30 minutes of driving is a bit of a range.

Your mileage at the service points doesn't make sense, or am I missing something?
Looks like it's an intermediate service next. Supposedly the cheaper one.
The service list is in your manual I believe.
