  1. Just a quick heads up - I hope this post does not fall foul of the rules - I will be selling my new set of Fox fx004 rims soon as seen on my profile - everybody I met said they really liked them but I "just didn't " I prefered the originals a purely personal view so I have put them back on, so i now have no use for the Fox ones, they are only a couple of months old & as good as new, I have even got the chrome ( "L" ) centres for them which are included too. Just wanted to give LOC members first choice before advertising to public. So if you are interested then please message me. I will wait 3 weeks from this post before advertising elsewhere. Richard
  2. Speak to Andy at AGH Tyres in Northampton he has the tpms valves themselves too which I think are included in the £50 a wheel charge but check that with him first. www.agytyresnorthampton.co.uk
  3. Spent a couple of hours on this, i cant find a way specifically - that doesn't mean there isn't, sorry Richard
  4. Very doubtful you will have any hybrid battery issues till between 145,000 - 190,000 or till 2023 wouldn't worry about that, its got a 10 yr 100,000m warranty on battery anyway. Richard
  5. Well provided its green when you drive in the voltages will be up. The Jury in my brain is out as far as whether its a good thing battery wise or not - what's good in the short term isn't always good long term ? mmm leaning towards the probably ok view. I'm not schizophrenic -- are we???
  6. Bxxgger I forgot ! Just writing a note to myself! (V Busy) Richard
  7. When the Hybrid Battery is in top form sport mode is fantastic IMHO Richard
  8. Will have an answer on that one for you tomorrow Lee - give me a nudge if I forget. Richard
  9. Real nice, I have heard several people say the same about the CT too! am looking for one for my wife - welcome aboard!!
  10. As long as I can get to them & remove them from the car I can fix them :)
  11. To anywhere between 140K usually & 170ish but dont worry thats not the end of the road - my wife wants one actually so am looking around.
  12. With direct close blasting they eventually will - they all do really - in my experience anyway Richard
  13. Off the net somewhere John there are quite a few out there will look in the garage Tomoz see if i can find the envelope - busy day tomorrow got one in which is totally dead, nearly had it going this morning - open heart for that baby tomorrow!! Its not been running for nearly 3 months I believe - courtesy of a Lexus dealer!
  14. Thanks John - one tries! I have done the calipers hammerite red too & put some Lexus Decals on them.
  15. They are Fox FX004 - I am not sure I like them myself - I am going to get my OEs refurbed this week coming after some small repairs - the chrome plastic inserts are a B to get out had to use heat & ruined 4 of them so looking for someone who has one stock wheel to sell!!
  16. I had an LS600h here & my word what a car drop down TV for passengers wireless headphones, I had it here fore a bit of attention with its hybrid battery - I couldn't do a thing with it as it is well complex, all the rear AC plant sits right on top of it together with the rear cinema stuff, i will try & find the pictures
  17. I have had a few here look quite nice with blacked out windows sort of presidential i think if done right. Heres my baby Canterbury Blue
  18. Hi folks Just a quickie, check out AGH Tyres Northampton, £50 a wheel for new tpms sensors fitted!!
  19. Thought I may share a recent experience. I was asked recently via another forum about a code that I had not had much experience off P0AA6 & with techstream i found sub codes 526 & 612 I think from memory - I was aware they were to do with an HV (High Voltage) Isolation Error (to explain:- the HV electrical system is isolated or if you like - mechanically & electrically separated from the normal 12v electrical system & the body of the car for obvious safety reasons - this is why all HV cabling is orange too, to clearly identify the hazard ) From experience & a bit of lateral thinking & in the absence of any other possibilities like the car had been recently worked on or something my thoughts were "Water" Yes you heard me right Water:- I have personally witnessed & repaired hundreds of electrical nasties caused by water. Given that Doris had not long passed this sparked (excuse the pun) my attention. Anyway to cut a long story short (well 1& half hrs) I located a spot underneath the car that looked "grazed" it was conspicuous because it was very clearly orange plastic when everything else around was covered in road muck, further chatting revealed that "its been doing it (throwing CHECK HYBRID SYSTEM) for a few days now but I just clear it down with my scanner mate & it seem ok after that its weird" - "oh yeah & it don't seem to happen when its just sat in park!" mmmmmm I say scratching me chin - thats because that section is not energised until its in drive or reverse - anyway a quick clean with wd40 then a wash with solvent reveals a black tracking mark where HV electricity has been leaking (or tracking in the trade) to the chassis causing the CHECK HYBRID SYSTEM error, a bit of scraping some hot melt glue, wd40 & a bit of orange flexible conduit i had lying around, a spread of hot soldering iron & bingo Job done - no problem even after a good direct blast with hose pipe (don't do that at home folks!) The chap was about to buy a whole new gearbox!!!! So don't automatically assume the worst
  20. Assuming you have sorted the safety seal issue now, if I can help just message me & i will see what i can do for you. I have to be a bit careful as there are a lot of dodgy people out there who want to suck my knowledge, there is a foreign chap out there now in GB who was a customer of mine who is now going round supposedly repairing Hybrid Batteries cheaply - the thing is I didn't tell or show him everything so he is only doing half a job & does not know the proper safety precautions he should take either - needless to say when people have problems afterwards he is 'unavailable'??? and they end up coming to me. I have to say it makes me very sad & angry. You might say its sour grapes but this guy is doing nothing for the reputation of the very few proper decent hard working technical independents here Please be careful & research lots before going further. Regards Richard
  21. I would say the best thing is to get it checked with techstream & a reset, lots of times after disconnecting 12v beeps happen as things re-register to their respective ECU's, as Zotto said if there are no warning messages displayed i am pretty sure there is nothing much to worry about - good luck!! Richard
  22. My Mum had one I remember LBY 889D the sub frame fell out on the way home from swimming!!!
