Ok, Thanks everyone for your responses. The day came today and although the supplier was adamant that he had the right discs they turned out to be the 334mm rather than the 356, so I thank you all for your responses as I would have never known but its back to Lexus to get them done by the looks of it. Lets hope one day this changes. I'm preparing the wallet now.. Wayne

Just thought I would post this, mostly due to how ludicrous I think it is.. Had a brake judder from the car, it had to go into Lexus Norwich today for servicing so asked them to look. I knew it was probably discs even though I dont know why as I'm not a heavy braker at all. Anyway Tony (Excellent Tech) looked at it and said that only 1 front disc was warped (how does that happen anyway) and the pads were fine. Not sure what discs they use (Gold plated probably) but for 2 discs with my LOC discount, the lowest she could get to was £513 just for the discs!!! OMFG! I looked before it went in and you can get grooved, ventilated EBC brakes and green stuff pads for £260 ish.. What on earth is going on. I've obviously said not and am looking at getting them done outside of Lexus but is this the same experience fro everyone else? Do warped discs just happen? and is this the normal price from LExus for such things.. A bit in shock I have to say. Wayne

Well, Car went in today, the rattle was there and the master tech came out with me... It seems jamming your fingers between the windscreen and the dash stops it , but as to what it actually is nobody knows, he hasnt come across it before. He has sprayed the area with silicone although not sure what that will do, it still seems to make noise but other than remove the dash they cant help. It seems very similar to the old 450 rattle I had in the dash and that was only cured by shoving felt near the windscreen. Oh well, hope nobody else has this. Other than that sailed through the MOT and a nice small bill.

As an update, had a friend today have a listen while I drove and he says its coming from passengers side dashboard up near the windscreen but sounds like its coming from inside the dash as no amount of pressure on the outside seemed to stop it. Not the glove box either so have no idea if it could be something under the bonnet doing it? or if there's something actually in the dash around there that could be. The left hand speaker grill in the dash was loose but that wasn't making the noise. Its into Lexus next week for its MOT so all I can do is ask I guess see if they can help as it has me stumped

Hi Guys, Have a 62 plate 450h Premier and I have a dreaded rattle. Its not something I wanted or expected with my Lexus and it wasnt there when I bought it. I drive it alone usually and all I can ascertain from driving it is that it seems to be coming from somewhere in the centre of the dash and obviously is loud enough for me to hear and is annoying.. I'm trying to get someone to drive with me to see where it is but just wondering if theres anything I can look at or if any of you have any experience of a rattle around the middle dash area? Thanks

Hi guys, Came across something today that I couldn't find a solution for so I thought I'd ask the experts. I get that when you are in Drive and you shift over to S on the gearbox you can use the sequential gear shift or the paddles and then when finished move the gearstick back over to drive and carry on. But when you are in drive and you use the paddles it goes into M mode (assume Manual) and you can use the paddles in that way. When you are finished though how do you go back to Drive? do you have to move the gear shifter over to S and back again? That's the only way I can seem to get it to work? did try both paddles at once in case that worked but it didnt. I know its not really a biggie but it seems a little of an oversight if that's the case. Looked in the manual but couldn't find the answer anywhere. Thanks

Ok I tried this but I am confused here and wondered if someone could clarify. You have to do all this with the WIPER lever to do the INDICATORS? If so, All the way up on the wiper lever is the 'as needed wipe' thats fine but then down one position is the off or Auto position. Should Auto be disabled to do this? You still have to go through the off position to go down one so when you say down one is that into the off position? or the first continuous wipe speed position? I've tried a number of times with no success at all. Any help appreciated, thanks

Thanks guys, The CD mounts of today dont go all the way in and I have removed all CD's just in case of accident.. I'll post a pic of mine too, just so you can all see what I mean later when I'm home. As is the way you have to post when you think of these things... or you forget :) As for your suggestions sorcerer - This is for single disc CD slots as do most of them seem to be, the bigger opening multi ones seem to not really be catered for. Rich 1068 - Thanks for the link, hadnt thought of that but I have an S9 plus and many people have complained that the magnets are not strong enough for larger phones.
