  1. Speak to Natalie....she'll get it sorted instantly for you. I suspect the salesmen don't earn commission on it being a service related purchase....maybe Natalie does ?
  2. Hi Nick and welcome to the LOC. I too use Lexus, Cardiff. Natalie and Charlotte on Service Reception are fantastic. I bought my first IS250 two years ago, it had a full service history but with the last two services done by an independent. After an inspection, they accepted the vehicle for the Lexus Warranty. Had my present IS250C for a year now. I bought it from an independent trader in Southport and it had a full Lexus service history from Lexus Manchester. It was accepted for two years warranty without inspection. Since then I've had a replacement headlamp assembly (water ingress and condensation) and a replacement rear caliper (seized)just last month. My claims roughly equate to the premium and I have another twelve months to run, that doesn't take into account the AA premium cover too ! It is dependent upon you having your CT serviced at Lexus. You should be able to start it after the twelve months dealer guarantee. I'd organise it now if I was you as the price could rise substantially, the present deal is based on 2 years for the price of 1. Yes, the premium is payable over 10 months interest free. As "royoftherovers" says...."A NO BRAINER"
  3. Mine's a foldy paper one too. Have no intention of paying a fee to change it.
  4. Here you go. http://carfueldata.dft.gov.uk/new-vehicle-tax.aspx?t=23ude39
  5. I don't think the brand matters too much. I went for these, so I have a few spares now. Cheaper than chips ! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5-10-20-Genuine-Maxell-CR2032-3V-Lithium-Button-Coin-Cells-batteries-UK-Seller-/321703150205?var=&hash=item4ae700827d:m:m66lDC0aNjadmmbECgjzAoA
  6. How about the cookies yellow "got it" box Mike....do you get that at every log in ?
  7. No, the remember me box is ticked. This avoids having to fill in user name and password each time, but still displays the yellow "got it" box twice during log in. Occasionally the "got it" box doesn't appear, this is when I've been logged in just a short time ago. If I log off at night and log in again the following morning, I get the "got it" box.
  8. I find this forum very clunky too. The bit that gets me so frustrated is the yellow "Got It" box that appears relating to cookies....slows the whole log on process. Is there a way to get rid of this ? Surely if I'm a member I should be able to acknowledge the cookie policy just once, not every time I log on !
  9. Had the plugs changed on my previous IS250 when it was in for the fuel pressure recall....only paid for the plugs ! Benefit of a good relationship with ones dealer.
  10. Yes, I've got those too, they work very well. Cause a lot of comment from others that see them.
  11. Hi Rick and welcome to the club. I've had a Passat 1.9TDI in a past life and the economy is excellent, you won't get anything like from the IS, but you're not comparing apples with apples. I can't comment on full tank mileage, but can give you some indication of mpg to expect. BTW, my IS convertible is a little heavier than the saloon so you should better my figures. My commute is 5 miles each way on a mixture of 30mph and 40mph free flowing roads and in the Winter I'm getting about 25mpg, that's with 2 cold starts of course. I used to visit Guildford frequently, mostly on the M4 with cruise set about 75mph and I'd often achieve 38mpg. Just this week I've been up to Chester and back, about 300 miles round trip up through the centre of Wales and it returned 33.1mpg on the tank fill, some very spirited driving on that run, occasionally up to 5,000rpm when overtaking.. My long term indicated mpg is 31.1. All of these figures are generated by the onboard computer which I believe is a little optimistic. Hope this helps.
  12. Mine's not hybrid, but still startles people sometimes because it runs so quietly.
  13. Nice number. I was going in the opposite direction so didn't spot any detail..
  14. Sounds unusual.....pics are essential !! Enjoy your motor. Welcome to the club btw.
  15. Haha, yes, just the two of us here. Looking to change next year, probably to an RX, our backs would prefer something a little higher. Wouldn't say no to an RC if it was in budget though......
  16. Been up to Chester today. Saw my first RC heading out of Chester on the Wrexham Road, didn't catch the model but it was white. This was about 11:00am today, anyone on here ? Mrs Ledzep and I manage with our 250C as our only car....it does have a very large boot mind. Rear seats are ok for adults for a short run....greatest difficulty is climbing in and out !!
  17. Assuming I could afford it, I'd always go for the younger car. That also assumes the mileage is proportionately less too. Your numbers are interesting and broadly representative of your dilemma Edgar. However, there's always the sod factor, that unexpected element which I'd expect the younger and lower mileage example to be less prone to. That's not an answer to your problem, just a personal opinion. Good luck and let us know what you decide please. I'll be looking for an RX450h next year.
  18. I'll go back on topic too...after my little spat ! Mrs ledzep and me have had some great times in the IS250C convertible, but going to change to something more appropriate next May (ish). We're both in our sixties now and something less low-slung would be good ! 13 plate RX450h is in my sights, Advance spec hopefully. We'll wait and see ???
  19. I got so fed up of him always going on about Tesla this, Tesla that, Tesla the other.......I put him on my ignore list !! BTW, he's the only LOC member on that list.
  20. Wouldn't it be better to buy a baby seat ?
