    I find it handy when reversing in to a space in a multi-storey or for avoiding the kerb....that's when I'm not looking at the screen from the reverse camera of course !! The eyes I've developed in the back of my head are now redundant !

    You could have bought a Lexus Used Car Warranty. It's available for vehicles up to 10 years old and 120k miles (I think ?). I have one on mine and it's paid for itself with still 11 months warranty left.

    Which Woolworths would that be Andrew ? Pretty safe promise I'd say I do about 8k miles each year and love the Lexus experience without getting hung up on mpg, just like you I guess.

    I've always believed it to mean "Model Year ". It might apply to a November registered vehicle say, that is the first of the following years model.

    I'm no expert on spec, but I don't see front parking sensors, nor headlamp washers. I only know SE-L spec so can't say.

    My previous car was an IS 250 SE-L September 2008 and I couldn't enter full postcode...infuriating ! My present IS 250C is August 2009 and one of the first convertibles.....do you know ?.....I've never even tried the satnav, just assumed it was as useless as the previous one...I'll have to give it a try

    I've bought 2 Lexus from independent traders and Lexus Cardiff have sorted an extended warranty for me on both occasions. The first IS250 SE-L had a full service history, but including two from an independent - Lexus insisted on inspecting that one before granting a warranty. My present vehicle had full Lexus history and warranty was issued without them seeing the vehicle. Seems odd that you have been refused Try a different dealer maybe ?

    My thoughts too. The bolsters on my driver seat are showing a lot of wear despite only 43k miles (lots of short journeys). Anyone know of a "conditioner" to slow down the wear ? Bit like a hair conditioner....fewer cracks and more shiny !

    I've not noticed any bump bump noises John, but I detect a reluctance to move in reverse when on full lock. Mine is an IS, but rear wheel drive just like yours. The lack of front drive shafts allow a greater angle of turn than the majority of cars today I think.

    I agree, it's excellent value. Mine is a petrol and I've already had my money's worth with a siezed caliper and misted headlamp assembly both replaced. You also get Lexus Roadside Assistance, which is the AA top service level.

    No, it's an Ibanez solid body. I fancy a Gretsch hollow though.....but not in pink . Aspen green for me.
