  1. Gaynor's been doing that for a number of years. She lists all her cars with the same enthusiasm. To be fair, she does have some nice motors,,,,,but she don't half go on a bit
  2. Your "adhesive tape" is not up to standard Noo bie ! I've just changed plates on my old IS250C and it was a bugger to release the plates, couldn't imagine a rattle starting there ! These pads have such an aggressive adhesive, just used some to kit out my new (to me) vehicle.....far superior to drilling and screwing the plates on. When you use adhesive pads, be sure to cover the screw holes on the boot lid, can be a source of water ingress into the boot well.
  3. Last one I tried was vintage 2009. As I say........"I'll have to have a look". Had a squint at the manual earlier, mud is clearer !!
  4. I use the work pool car often and use Sygic on my phone for satnav, it's excellent. On the odd occasion I need satnav driving my own car, I use Sygic too. Having said that, not tried it on my RX yet......maybe it takes postcode entries, I'll have to have a look.
  5. Nice one Vince. I was a Saab man too. two 95s followed by two 93 Aeros. On my third Lexus now, two IS250s before this one. I'm certain you're going to love your IS300h K, just treat it nicely and it will look after you. Bet you can't wait !!!
  6. Just 2 weeks ago I acquired my first Hybrid, an RX450h 2013. I'm fascinated by the dash graphic and very interesting it is too. I'm buggered if I'm going to allow it to dictate my driving style !!
  7. Can't have that Paul. Back on topic......Lexus Cardiff look after me very well indeed, no complaints !
  8. I don't mind what she wears on her head. She's far too pretty for a paper bag though
  9. Might I suggest a bottle of Irish instead ? Still from the same country . Shocked tor read of your M3 at 129mph while in the custody of the dealer.
  10. Rosin Murphy (I think I remember correctly), gorgeous vocalist
  11. I'd guess that yours would be a bespoke order. If Lexus were allocating build slots for stock, I think they'd include the most frequently requested options.
  12. It's the type of driver that the marque of vehicle attracts that does my head in !! You appear to have grown up now Paul...ahem !!
  13. There's only one Lexus dealer here in Wales, a lot larger than Guernsey ! My dealer in Cardiff is 60 miles away from me, next closest is Bristol at 100 miles away ! Not experienced any problems with Cardiff, very happy with how they look after me.
  14. I agree.......I maintain a Lexus stamp because I have the extended warranty and it can't do any harm when it comes to resale time. Discs and pads would be done locally though.
  15. Must have been the day we had a strong easterly wind in South Wales !
  16. Nasty cough you have there . Our family are in the Chester area so trips up there are a frequent occurrence. Always had IS250s until recently, so not a performance car like yours Paul.....but the route lends itself to a spirited drive, quite challenging in places. Especially over the top from Llandrindod Wells to Newtown....watch out for the sheep !
  17. Chester is my home city....lovely place. You'll need to ask Lexus Chester to run you into town, it must be close on ten miles outside !
  18. I've just bought a 2013 RX450h Luxury with 55k and plan to run it for 3 years at 10k pa. My last car was an IS250 and I opted for the extended warranty on that at £895 for 2 years (IIRC?). Under the warranty I had 2 rear callipers, 1 headlamp assembly and a water pump replaced, all inside 15 months of ownership and under 45k miles ! Total value at Lexus prices around £1,600. I haven't a clue about reliability on the RX, but I've opted for the warranty as it's so comprehensive it gives peace of mind. If I have to claim, then that's fine....if I don't have to claim, that's fine too, just means I have a very reliable car. I probably won't get burgled, but the insurance policy I have gives me peace of mind. Don't forget you get the full AA roadside package as part of the warranty too. Hope that helps Nick.
  19. Had another day off and another day of fettling today. Fitted my dashcam very discreetly behind the rear view mirror with the lens just poking out beneath the shaded bit. Took some advice from another thread and used a bristle brush with Dodo Juice on the leather....worked a treat ! I thought there were some marks resembling paint splashes, but they were just blocked holes in the perforated leather, soon sorted those out with a pin and a bit of patience. It is a very sedate drive that we're both enjoying. We're taking a drive up to Scotland in June, exploring our old haunts, lived in Callander for a while about 30 years ago.
