    I think Linas is about right. I p/x'd my 59 plate IS250C for my current RX around 16 months ago. It had 55k miles with full Lexus SH and around 8 months balance on an extended warranty. I got £9.5k from an independent dealer in Wolverhampton. I have to say that he was selling the RX on behalf of his friend who'd just been made redundant and needed the finance clearing. I estimate I bought my RX about £3k less than a Lexus dealer would charge at the time. The cost to change was what I worked on, not individual prices. Hope this is useful.....here's a pic:

    Nice post John. Very few Lexus in SW Wales, seen a few IS220Ds and an RX parked next to me in the Coop car park once 👀. Why do BMW and Audi owners drive as if they've stolen the car ?

    What a beauty. You're going to love it Rod. My very first Lexus was an IS250 SEL (2008), then I had the convertible version (2009). Both lovely cars. Have a poorly back now so my RX suits better. Enjoy your wheels !!

    My understanding is that's true with a new car and the original warranty. However, Lexus do stipulate servicing in the Lexus dealers for the extended warranty.

    Don't listen to music in the car. It's so far behind my domestic set-up that I restrict myself to Radio 4. R4 is excellent imo.

    I've used metal dustcaps on 4 Saabs and 3 Lexus. I just use a little 3-in-1 oil smeared on the thread and I've had no problems. In my opinion, any lubricant will do the job just fine.......don't over tighten them, light finger tight is plenty, they're only keeping dust out and looking pretty at the same time.

    Yes, the secret is in the little finger smearing the lubrication. Another secret is not to overtighten, they're only keeping dust out. I've used metal dustcaps on my three Lexus' and my four Saabs before that....never a problem.

    I have similar caps on my RX. You're correct, it is possible for them to seize. I always use my little finger to smear some oil on the thread and only do them up finger tight. Remember that they are not holding air in, just keeping dust out.

    I used these guys in Swansea for my wife's car. Cannot fault what they did, wheels stripped, repaired and fully painted with tyres refitted. They really did paint the whole wheel and lacquer it. Not cheap, £330 for 4 x 16" wheels. They are now immaculate and they were a mess before. They have branches around the country. https://www.thewheelspecialist.co.uk/locations/

    Two options for you if you are interested in the end price of an item : 1. Add it to your Watch List and after the auction has ended it is still there with the final bid price. 2. Use the Advance Search facility searching Completed Listings.

    Yes, mine will hold EV mode at 40mph too......only witnessed the motors helping the ICE above that speed.

    Had my RX fifteen months now and I've kept a brim to brim spreadsheet of fuel consumption. I do a lot of 5 mile trips to work and back, a 20 mile trip to the supermarket fortnightly and occasional trips to Leamington Spa with a major Scotland trip last summer. Winter mpg is around 28 to 30 and summer mpg is 33ish with the longer trips returning 36mpg or thereabouts. I'm a steady driver so if you drive yours as if you've stolen it, expect less. My dashboard mpg is just slightly optimistic to my actual, yours sounds pessimistic to say the least.

    Yes, mine allows full postcode entry too (page 2 of opening screen). However previous ISs (2008 & 2009) only allowed first half of postcode. I guess the satnav system has been updated to full postcode at some stage.
